Picture of Paris's outfit
Seven years ago
Paris's pov
I was asleep in my king size bed when I felt a presence, I slowly opened my eyes and saw my parents grinning from ear to ear.
I looked at them confused. "What's going on" I asked.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" they screamed in union.
I jumped up quick and ran to my huge calendar on my pink and white wall looking at the date, and indeed it read March 16. I had totally forgot my own birthday I've been so busy lately with the math team and volunteering I lost track of the month and days. My mom always said I should give up on some of the volunteering but I liked giving back to the community.
I turned back to my confused parents, "Thanks" I said putting on a fake smile before they noticed I forgot.
My mom didn't noticed but my dad did, he always read me like I was an open book.
"Hurry honey I made you a birthday breakfast but you will have to eat fast so you won't be late to school" my mom said. And with that she turned and left my room leaving me and my dad.
I made my way over to my walk-in closet getting ready to pick out my outfit for the day, "You should really spread out your events baby girl" I heard dad say.
I walked out and smiled at him for being concerned. "Dad I don't make my schedule" I told him and he frowned.
"I know but---" before he could say anything else I cut him off in a nice way though. "Dad I have to get ready for school" I told in a fake hurried tone him pushing him out of my room.
But really I did not want to go. The boys are immature and gross always gawking at the cheerleaders and school sluts that walk around with their butts half way out of their shorts and skirts and breast always showing knowing it a little chilly out side. And the cheerleaders known as the popular crowd they always look at me rude. I didn't talk much but I knew almost everybody.
I rushed to take a quick shower, I washed my hair to make it curly. I walked to my closet and found my floral leggins, my blue jean-like shirt, black varsity jacket, and my white Jordan's. I walked to my full length mirror and looked my self I didn't wear make up much I already had the natural look. "I look okay. " I thought to myself.
I rushed down the long stair case, and my birthday breakfast my mom made. She made my favorite chocolate pancakes, eggs, and grits. I ate slow to kill time, I really didn't want to go to school but it was my senior year the teachers wouldn't mind if I didn't show up. I had A's in all my classes. Anyway I finished eating and put my plate in the sink and got a bottle of sprite. My mom hated me drinking soda in the morning but right now caffeine is the only thing that is going to keep me up. I stayed up all night working on this project for one of the recreation centers I volunteered at.
"Put that back, you know how I feel about you drinking all that sugar and caffeine this early." my mom said putting about 3 scoops of sugar into her coffee. She's a hypocrite most of the time.
"No thanks, if you can drink caffeine and sugar this early so can I." I told her walking out the kitchen.
Right before I got fully down the hallway to the front door my dad stopped me.
"Be respectful to your mother." he said.
I mentally rolled my eyes "Yes daddy." I said and smiled showing my perfect white teeth and dimples.
He smiled "Have a good day at school birthday girl." he said. "Okay bye!" I said kissing him on the cheek and turn walking out the door before I fully shut the door I heard my mom yell "Bye honey!" I rolled my eyes and finish shutting the door.
