I figured climbing up a bunch of stairs seemed like the least likely place anyone would be.
The sound of wind became clear as I got closer to the top.
I saw sunlight shining down. Realizing it must've been an open tower I find the balcony.
And there the same ferret boy stood.
He heard my footsteps and stood there looking back at me.
"I didn't think anyone would be here." I comment.
"Only a few people come up here." He informs.
"Shame this place has an amazing view" I say walking up to his side.
He hums in response.
For a few minutes we stood there in silence. Admiring the view ahead of us. Well I was.
When I turned to face Draco, he had his eyes on me.
I stared right back into his azure eyes.
"You do realize we have class."
"I have an excuse. I'm new. What's yours?" I smile a little.
"Shit, youre right."
"I know." I smile.
Out of a sudden Draco panics and grabs his stuff. Dragging me along with him.
I'm too caught up in running along with him to say a word.
We end up both walking through the door. I'm not sure if this is even my class.
"Mr Malfoy.. Miss Oberlin. How nice of you to show up to class." A long dark haired man with pale skin says. His words come as slowly as his steps.
"We lost track of time, Sir." Draco explains.
"My god, Is she with every boy in this school?"
The professor turns his head, I lean to the left, Draco leans to the right. To get a view pass the mans body.
Everybody seems to be staring at one girl with black dyed hair.
"Miss Parkinson, would you like to repeat what you have said. So Miss Oberlin here can hear." The professor states.
"No professor Snape." She mentions.
Professor Snape turns to me but I'm focused on her. I noticed both men moving at my sides.
I walk forward. Towards the tables. When I reach the girl who had fortunately been seated at the edge I pause.
"Rune." I hear the professor say. Warning me somehow.
I tap my nails on her desk before taking a seat in the table in front. Facing her.
I watch as Draco takes a seat opposite of her. Ruining each of our views. I tilt my head to my left and I see the same girl hide her face.
It is only now I've noticed her tall friend seated beside her. He watches me curiously as if he's waiting for me to do something rather extravagant.
I rip my stare away from the boy. Opening my book and dipping my quill in ink.
The door suddenly slams open. Wind gushing in. A few candles going out.
I look up and see Mattheo. His eyes brightning up as he sees me.
"Mr Riddle. What a surprise. You finally decide to come to class on the first day." Snape addresses.
"Yes I just remembered I had priorities." He smiles at the professor.
"You're late." Snape adds.
"Nothing new." Mattheo remarks. Taking a seat beside me. With a grin on his face.
"That's detention for you Mr Riddle." Mattheo hummed in response.
"You're looking quite energetic this morning." I whisper to him. He leans down closer.
"I was going to leave if you weren't here. I only came because I remembered slytherin and ravenclaw shared classes today." He explains.
"Riddle."
"Got it." Mattheo says loud enough for professor snape to hear.
We exchange looks and a smile escaped the both of us.
I don't think Mattheo was actually paying attention. He just kept watching and reading my writing.
"What are you doing? Aren't you going to write?" I whisper.
"I'll copy off of you." He says.
Class ended and I think he had less than half a page written down.
We made our way out.
"I've learnt most of this stuff anyways. Not once have I failed my exams you know." He informs me.
"So you're saying you're smart?" I simplify his words. "Well, yes. Yes I am." He proudly answers.
Suddenly I get bumped into by Pansy. Making me lose my balance and bumping into the guy that was beside her.
I look up at Pansy. Aware that someone had caught me.
She turns around with a shock expression, looking very pretentious. It soon gets replaced with a genuine raging look.
I look around and see Draco with my books that had fallen to the floor and Mattheo sending a glare to Pansy.
Looking behind me, I realize the boy had been so much taller than I thought he looked.
"Are you okay?" His voice deeper than most slytherin boys I've met. Almost reaching the tone of the Durmstrang boys.
I nod, Draco then handing me my stuff.
I hand my books to Mattheo for a second. Swiftly moving to Pansy before getting held back by Mattheo with one arm around my torso.
"I've barely met you and I already dislike you." I told her.
She looks at me with a smug expression.
"Think you're so powerful?" She askes.
I scoff.
"I don't think, I know I am. And I know a mere inbreed pureblood like you shouldn't have so much nerve.
If your dad comes to you saying he's lost his job at the ministry, don't be so surprised." I say, my lips tick in anger.
She glares at me in confusion.
"You'll know what happens to people who test my authority." I warn. Mattheos behind me, pulling me away.
As I turn away, I share one last glance with the Draco and the other slytherin boy. They show their disappointment towards Pansy.
"Are you sure you're Ravenclaw? You defitnetly have slytherin blood in you."
"Probably from my dad." I add.
