Y/N POV

"WHAT THE FUCKING HELL!!".

He shouted in anger, making me flinch.

My heart got invaded by a fear.

I never wanted to do that.

And certainly not when I knew that those documents were too important.

I was so scared.

What would he do now?

I gulped down as he made an eye contact with me.

The anger, the disgust, the hate, the regret of working hard but all of that going in vein, were clearly seen in his eyes.

He clenched his jaw and his chest moved up and down, as his breathings became heavier.

I soon gathered the courage to speak and apologize.

It was my fault, after all.

"I am sor-".

Before I could finish my sentence or do anything, a sharp pain on my cheek made his way in the middle of my sentence, making me stop on the track.

My face now facing my left side, with the half of it burning as if someone put a fire on it.

My heart ached more than my cheek at the thought of him slapping me.

Did those papers have more value than me?

His wife?

Also pregnant?

I slowly put my hand on my cheek and let my tears fall.

Never in these 2 years he slapped me.

He shouted at me.

He threw tantrums at me.

He even broke stuffs of the house, out of anger.

But, he never ever layed a hand on me since our wedding.

Not the fact of being slapped broke me.

But the fact that he could do anything for his work, killed me mercilessly.

"How can you be so careless like this?! Are you fucking serious?!".

He shouted, making me flinch again.

My heart throbbing against my chest loudly, making me doubt that he might hear it.

My breathing became uneasy.

I felt like someone was strangling my heart tightly.

"I am sorry".

The only words that I managed to whisper and sobbed silently.

I was genuinely sorry but looked like he didn't seem to notice it as his eyes and brain were covered by a stripe of anger and selfishness.

"Just get out of here and don't show me your face again!!".

He shouted while kicking his chair backward, making it bump into the bookshelf behind him.

All the books fell down but no one cared about them at this moment.

I started to so sob louder as it was getting stronger than me and turned around to leave.

I quickly went to our shared bedroom and opened the door before entering in.

I closed the door behind me and leaned my back on the wooden door.

But as soon as my lower back touched the back of my hand, I hissed loudly.
