Wow look at you!

Nagito POV

I was sitting at a table with Sonia. Both Kokichi and Shuichi had left a while ago to go and dance. I let out a sigh. I've been getting weird and fairly uncomfortable stares from this table of girls. "Hey Sonia..?" she looked up from her fingernails which she had been messing with.

"Yes Nagito?" "Why are all of those girls staring at me..? It's getting really creepy.." she looked at the table. Letting out a frustrated groan she stated "They want to dance or flirt with you most likely. I hate girls like that. How about we go somewhere else? Like the front of the palace for instance?" I smiled "Yeah that would be nice"

Standing up I extended my hand to Sonia, who took it and helped pull herself up. Walking by her side to the front of the castle I could see a bunch of people. A majority I didn't even know. It was weird how these people who have never personally met me showed up to my coronation. 

Walking faster I realized a carriage pulling up. I grabbed Sonia by her sleeve "Hey Sonia? Do you by chance know whose carriage that is?" She looked at it and sighed "sadly I do not.. Well whoever they are they missed your crowning" 

The driver of the carriage stepped off of the seat he was on and opened the door. I didn't see their faces but I saw their feet. It was a man and a woman. Once the carriage door was closed I couldn't believe my eyes. 

"Sonia.." she smiled "Yeah. It's them Nagito.." I ran over to them with Sonia not to far behind me. The man turned and saw me "Nagito!" I jumped into his arms. They were so much warmer compared to the cool night air. Sonia and Chiaki were hugging and Chiaki was crying. 

I was so happy I hadn't even realized that we had drawn attention to ourselves. I didn't care either way if they saw this or not. I was to happy to care about anyone besides the tanned boy in front of me.

I started to cry. I had forgotten so many features about him. This amazing being. How could I have forgotten the way his green eyes sparkled. The way his smile melted my heart into a puddle. How his voice was the most musically calming thing I've ever heard. 

Hajime wiped my tears "Hey.. don't cry. It's fine!" He picked me up and started to spin "See? Give me a big smile kay! I want to see you smile not be sad!!" I couldn't help but laugh. I gave him a big smile. He then kissed my nose "There we go!"

He set me down and held my hand "You look so... wow. I mean your hair got longer!" I smiled "Yeah well look at you! You have a completely different look! You look good! I mean not like you didn't before but still!" He smiled "Yeah well it's really hard to keep looking this good~"

I laughed "Do you wanna go to the gardens or the library? I mean if you want to that is!!" He gave me a little squeeze on my hand "The library would be nice. It would be a whole lot quiet with less people too" "Yeah you're right. Let's go then!" I started to pull Hajime along.

The entire time we walked and talked I couldn't help but think that maybe this was where our happily ever after was. Boy was I wrong... I ended up running into my mother. She had apparently been looking for me.

She was with another girl. I have never met the girl but she was with my mother. Once turning to look at me she was shocked to see I had Hajime with me "Nagito. What are you doing with.. him.." 

Usually I would be petrified of her but.. I didn't want to go back to living without Hajime. It was so lonely even if I had Sonia. "Mother. I'm sure you are well acquainted with Hajime. Who do you have with you?" I gave her a smile. She looked furious. 

"Well you see. I am with a young girl who fancies you. She would like to marry you. I even spoke with her parents. They-" before she could finish I spoke "Well to bad I wish to marry Hajime. I also don't have any preference in girls." 

My mother spoke to the girl "Would you excuse us?" The girl smiled "Um.. sure" Once we were round the corner my mother spoke "What happened to you! You used to be so sweet and now. Now all you do is go against my word!"

"I grew up mom! I'm not a little kid who still thinks that hiding in my mother's shadow is an option! It's not! I finally have someone I want to spend the rest of my life with and you don't want me too! What am I supposed to do marry someone and be happy? I can't!"

She looked at me "But you can!! You can still be happy if you give up on these childish fantasies!! They won't be what you expect and you'll be miserable!!" I was shocked at her words. "But I won't." "How would you know!?"

My mother was becoming emotional. She was throwing one of her royal tantrums. I grabbed her hands and put them in mine. Looking her in her eyes "I know because I'm going to be with someone who makes me feel better about myself. Someone who knows what I like. Even if you don't like him that much I do. He's everything and more to me and I wont let go of him again."

Hajime was standing still watching the whole scene play out in front of him. Un moving not saying a word. I smiled at my mother and stood close to Hajime again. Holding his hand as he smiled at me. "I'm happy mom.. I don't want to loose what makes me happy." 

"Fine. But I'm not giving you my blessing. And make sure to stay away from me when you have him with you." She walked off and turned the corner. "Sooo we are getting married yes?" I looked at Hajime and laughed "Is that what you got from that talk??" He smiled and kissed my nose "Not fully but partially" I grabbed his hand "Ok now let's go to the library before we run into someone else who has some sort of beef with us!!" 

I walked away with Hajime holding onto my hand and kissing my face every other minute "What's that for!?" he smiled "Just making sure this isn't a dream.. maybe one more to make sure" I giggled as we walked. 

This moment. This one sliver of happiness. It was what I would be experiencing for the rest of my life. This crazy yet charming prince. Prince Hajime will always and forever be my Happily ever after. Nothing will ever change that!
