MANDA'S POV

I called out his name.

He didn't answer.

I went to the jungle gym and started to climb up it. When I got to the top, I balanced myself and stood up.

"NASH!!!" I called out. I looked around the Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary playground for him.

Suddenly, I heard a deafening scream in my right ear.

"HOOLLLLYYYY SHHHIIIITT!!!!!" I screamed, falling over, my feet hooking onto one of the bars. I tried to look up while hanging on for my dear life.

Nash...

"You little mother fucker!" I screamed.

He laughed. "Scaredy cat!"

We found a spot on the school's field and laid down. It was just us.

I looked over at him. He looked back at me.

"Hey, Manda..." he started.

"Yeah?"

"Never mind."

"Come on! You can tell me! You're my best friend!"

"It's about you."

I gulped. "I can start brushing my teeth more!"

"What?"

"Nothing..." Shit! Why'd I say that?

"No, I need to tell you..." he looked at his feet. "I... I... I think I like you."

My mouth was as big as a Wubble bubble ball. Did he really just say that?

"You like me too." He blushed.

"Well, I... I dunno..." Did I like him?

"I think you do."

Then he kissed me. It was a warm, soft kiss. Like a cloud that was just through a dryer.

He pulled away. I did too.

"Well..." He got up. "I better go..."

"Yeah. Me too." I stood up.

And I fell down. Hard. I must've lost my balance.

Ow. There was a sharp poking sensation in my pinky and my ring finger on my left hand.

"FUUUCCCKK!" I wailed, crying. "I think they're broken!"

"What?"

"MY FINGERS! BROKEN! WAAAAA!"
