AN: Hey so this is gonna be a little break from all the smut. This is gonna take place years after they first started dating! Enjoy your break!
It's been 7 years since you and buddy have started dating. You went to a bridal shop and got a ball gown for a dance you and buddy were invited to. It was beautiful. It was beige with lace and rhinestones waist down. It was so huge you had to pick it up to walk. You also bought a tiara with diamonds and lace evening gloves. Finishing the outfit off with a diamond necklace and a promise ring from buddy.
It was time for the ball and you and buddy got in the limousine
. "Well darlin', you sure know how to make a man wonder how he got so lucky."
"oh buddy, if you think I'm stunning just say that!"
You say, making you both laugh. "Darlin' when I saw you I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreamin', and God wasn't fibbin' to me."
He says as you lay your head on his shoulder.
"Buddy, if one things for sure....it's that I love you more than anything."
Around an hour later
Apparently, you fell asleep on the ride to the ball. Buddy woke you up laughing like crazy.
"Oh hush holly, you would've done the same!"
You say letting out a little giggle. You take buddy's arm and walk up the stairs to the ballroom. After a short speech, a toast with champagne, and a dinner, you and buddy dance together. You lay your head on his shoulder and all of a sudden he says,
"Darlin' let's get out of here, I need to show you something."
He leads you out of the building and back to the car. It takes a few minutes but eventually you arrive at a field with horses and flowers. As you and buddy watch the sunset he stands up and gets you up with him. At this point, you're so confused you don't even question it. Then, all of a sudden, he gets down on one knee and pulls out the prettiest ring you've ever seen.
"Darlin' I know you could do so much better than me, and that you probably deserve it too. But I promise that everything I do will be to please you, to love you, and to make you happy. Before you came into my life, I was in a very dark place. Suddenly, I saw you and with you, I saw light. The empty hole in me was filled. You have made me so happy, but would you make me the happiest I could possibly be and marry me?"
At this point you're bawling your eyes out
. "Y-y-yes! Of course holly! I love you!"
He quickly slides the ring on and kisses you. You cry together and then sit back down. After talking awhile, you both get tired and you fall asleep on a blanket in the field. After a few hours, you wake up randomly and see holly with his arm wrapped around you, head on your chest, legs wrapped around you feet. You can't help but to admire everything about him. You fall back asleep cuddled up against him.
"I love you holly."
