EVER SINCE YOU WERE YOUNG— around the age of thirteen to fourteen years of age, Kaedehara Kazuha had always been by your side.

Though the two weren't that close. Kazuha, having his own little world far away from people, while [Name], who's busy reading thousands of books just to be the perfect heiress that their family needs always found each other by chance. Or as the servants at the time would like to say, "destined by the Gods."

The girl named [Name] walked around outside the palace to get some fresh air after hours and hours of reading. The female would occasionally greet the servants that she always comes across. She would smile at them, be curious of what they were holding onto, or just mess around with them like the children outside the palace to older people.

Curiosity would always take you by chance, wondering what the kids who would always pass the palace during your breaks of hours of study, would do? They never wore clothes that have been weaved using the finest of silk, nor did they have tidy hair. Were you not like them at all?

Looking down, a particular male whom you know was laying down, his eyes were closed and you couldn't tell if he was breathing or not. You squinted your eyes, hoping to really see if it was him. The wind had been blowing a bit stronger, which ticked you off.

Once his eyelids had fluttered open, his soft red eyes made contact with yours.

"Oh, you're not dead." You bluntly said, Kazuha couldn't even tell if you were glad that he isn't dead or you were upset that he didn't die in his sleep. Nonetheless, he stood up quickly and bowed at the heiress.

"[Name]-sama, do you need anything from me?" He said, you shook your head as answer.

"No. I was merely strolling around when I saw you laying limp on the ground. I apologize for the inconvenience. And, ruining your beauty sleep." You said, getting back on your feet after having been crouched down.

Kazuha was taken a back at the words, a mischievous grin erupting from his face.

"Oh I'm sorry, did I ruin your book reading? You do just stare at a piece of paper. Are you even reading?" The softness and respect in the young male's voice vanished like a bubble. You, despite being the heiress of the throne, decided to pull on his long hair.

"Agh! That's uncounted! What the-"
