How do I describe my love what has happened to me?

Do I tell you of Honor and of Chivalry?

Or do I tell you the truth of the battlefield?

Where everyone is dead and there is no glory.

I look into the eyes of my dying enemy.

Then watch as he drifts into that final sleep.

I feel no remorse as I kill the next one.

Nor do I feel the damage they have done.

Blood pours from my numerous wounds.

My arm is so weak it can barely move.

I continue to swing my heavy sword.

For the honor of a man that I call Lord.

I may die on this field my love,

Never to see you again or our unborn son.

Tell him this when you think you can.

There is no honor in dying for a cause you can’t understand.
