My alarm woke me up at 5:30 am and I groan and roll over, tiredly turning it off only to be startled awake at the loud blare of noise coming from Zero and I's shared laptop. We were the oldest here and got our own *shared* laptop, the rest of the kids here were anywhere from a month old to 12 years old, and let me tell you, the 12 year olds are the most annoying people, in. the. world.
"why the heck are you STILL UP, PSYCHO?!" I yell at Zero and she shrugs, turning the bright azz screen toward my face. Ugh this bitch is still editing, workaholic!
I turn over and fall back asleep because who the hell wakes up this early?! Not me, that's for sure!
Zero wakes me up again at 7:30 and is yelling about getting how they'll get me Starbucks if I get up.
Like the basic white girl I am, I get up and take a shower before getting dressed in this.

When I get out of the bathroom after taking like 20 selfies and mirror pics BC let's face it, I'm hot; Zero goes in with her own clothes. Why they waited until I was ready to get up when SHE WAS AWAKE FOR LIKE FIVE MILLION HOURS BEFORE ME, I have no idea.
Anyhow, while she was in the shower, I plop on their bed, avoiding breaking the laptop and switch tabs to Spotify, which had her account logged in. I was too lazy to log in to mine so I just played a playlist that didn't look too emo. Zero and I have super different tastes in like everything but we're still best friends.
I do a lil victory dance when One Direction starts playing. I turn the volume all the way up and smirk when I hear the water turn off. I grab a pillow from my bed and stand against the wall by the bathroom door. When it opens, I attack Zero with the pillow and she gets super mad. Their entire face is red!
"oh no" just then she tackles me and grabs a pillow, hitting me back with it.
We have a rule of no headshots.

ZEROS POV
I definitely didn't sleep last night. Carson and I had gone to the skate park yesterday and I recorded it, so I was editing it to use as a background/music video for my cover of Satellite by All time Low.
Well I guess I didn't pay attention to how long I was editing because Carson's 5:30 am alarm goes off and she's half awake as she questions my sleeping habits. She doesn't know I have insomnia just thinks I like staying awake way too late and calls me a psycho.
I continue to edit until 7:30, when my own alarm goes off reminding me that I had to help clean the house for the adoption fair today. It sucked but Carson and I being the oldest had the responsibility of helping out with shit like that.
Deciding how I wanted to to wake her up, I try first with throwing a pillow at her. When that didn't work, I blared bvb from the laptop, and when that didn't work, I shoved her off her bed. She groans from floor and flips me off, getting up and almost going back to sleep.
"Carson, if you don't get up I won't buy you Starbucks for an entire month" at this she practically shot up and ran to get clothes and head for the bathroom. I laugh and find my own clothes.
When she gets out of the bathroom, I go in and take a shower. I heard the music change but left it alone and stepped out, drying off and getting dressed into this.

It was supposed to be a little cold so I decided on a long sleeve. I did my usual makeup (makeup from previous chapter) before I finally left the bathroom, only to be hit. In the face, by a pillow, by Carson.
"oh no," she laughs when she sees how red my face is before I tackle her and grab a pillow. We get into a pillow fight for the next 5 or so minutes before we both stop because one of our favorite songs comes on. We both start yelling the lyrics to Live While We're Young by One Direction and im pretty sure we woke the entire house because the head lady start pounding on the door and yells at us to, and I quote, "shut the fuck up before she throws us out onto the street." She would never do that, at least not to Carson bc Carson is her favourite and Carson will threaten to sue her if I was left to die on the street.

CARSON POV
SO after the whole head lady being a buzz kill, Zero and I left to get Starbucks and do whatever the heck else we wanted for a few hours before we'd be forced into child labor. I realized it was kinda cold so I threw on a tie-dye thrasher hoodie somebody donated to us (meaning Candy apples) and ran past Zero out the door.
When we got there I had to order for Zero because of her anxiety and then I order for myself. Zero got a Strawberry Funnel cake frap thing and I just got a pink drink.
We drank it on the way back to candy apples, where Zero ran in and got their camera before we went back to the abandoned building behind it.
It was a church for a while that got turned into a school. It's obviously abandoned now but we both like to explore it, even if we have found basically all of it. I think Zero just likes it because it's abandoned, I like it because I like seeing the graffiti art.
We stay there for about an hour before we head back in, when we're told something we never saw coming.
"Zero, Carson, your both wanted for an interview!"

COLBYs POV
With Jake and Corey moving out, Sam and I really wanted more people in the house.
We also really wanted to adopt even if we are young. We obviously can't take care of a baby so we both decided to adopt a teenager.
So here we are, in some place called Candy Apples home for kids. We told the lady we were looking for a teenager and she gave us a weird look before shaking her head and smiling. I look over to Sam and he shrugged.
She called into two teenagers and I looked at Sam shocked.
"The one in purple with blue hair is Zero Quinn and the blonde one is Carson Smith. Take you-"
Before she can finish both girls grab onto each other's arms and yell that they aren't leaving the other. I look at Sam and he nods.
"We are adopting both of them."
