Biana's POV
Everyone was slowly starting to trust Glimmer now, she wasn't that Neverseen girl who never showed us her face. Everyone thought she was sweet and beautiful. Everyone including Tam. I knew because he looked at her differently, more lovingly.
Sophie and Linh agreed to the makeover Glimmer wanted to give them. And when I asked earlier in the week? They said no.
What was with Glimmer? We both had everything in common except that she is an ex-Neverseen member and I was a Vacker princess. I was as beautiful as her.
Wait-did I just compare myself with Glimmer? I never do that! This girl was doing something to everyone and I didn't like it one bit.
Sophie's imparter rang and her eyebrows scrunched together. None of us knew what she was trying to say.
"The Forklenator?" Keefe asked.
She nodded. Of course Keefe could understand Sophie's every expression, I could only wish the same for me. I looked over at Tam and sighed.
Mr. Forkle's voice filled the room, "Ms. Foster, are your friends with you?" Sophie nodded. "I need you to come back to Havenfield along with all your friends and bring Ms. Glimmer too."
We were all confused but we obeyed. Why did Glimmer have to come with us? We had to light leap with her. Wait-
To light leap, we needed to hold hands. I smiled only then did I realize Glimmer was staring at me. Tam already held Linh's hand which meant he had one hand left.
Glimmer and I ran but I was better with heels so I made it to Tam first. I held his hand and tried to ignore the butterflies but there was only so much you could ignore. Like Tam's gaze on me. And how Glimmer was glaring at our intertwined hands.
Linh gave me a weird look and that soon dissolved into widened eyes. Until it turned to realization. Keefe just smirked. I blushed.
I light leaped all the time, but it felt like heaven this time with Tam and me holding hands. (so cringeee)
Linh's POV
I saw Biana and Glimmer racing towards us but no one could beat Biana in heels. What I thought was 'us' turned out to be 'Tam's hand,' I was so confused. Biana was racing to hold Tam's hand, so did that mean she liked Tam?
My theories were proven to be true when I saw Keefe smirk and Biana blushing. I realized Glimmer also liked Tam when she glared at Biana.
Wow. I hope things won't get awkward between Tam and Biana if he goes for Glimmer. I don't want them to follow the trail Sophie and Fitz carved.
When we got to Havenfield Mr. Forkle was waiting in the room in his Forkle self. Glimmer looked around and smiled, I hated her. She made sure Tam never escaped but then again she also helped our friends in Loanmore.
Mr. Forkle explained how maybe if Tam and Glimmer pretended to turn against us for not believing them, they would pretend to join the Neverseen, and then we would have our weapon inside our enemies' pockets.
"No," I screamed and begged at the same time. I didn't realize I splashed everyone with water, I was not agreeing to this. My brother got captured once by the Neverseen and besides, he's all I have left. I looked at Tam, "You don't agree to this, do you?"
"I think Mr. Forkle is right," Tam said. I have never seen him back out when it was on him, What did the Neverseen do to him?
Everyone looked at me with sadness in their eyes, I was still not agreeing to this.
"Tam is not going back to there," I turned to Mr. Forkle. "Would you have let your brother go?"
Mr. Forkle looked down and everyone shifted uncomfortably at the sad memory.
"Sorry," I apologized.
"Linh, can we talk?"
I had not expected Biana to say that.
