A month has passed since your family gained two new members. In the beginning, it was a bit difficult adjusting to the two younger girls' presence around the house. You had to share everything with them, even your clothes since you all were the same age and roughly the same size. Isabel now shared the same bed as you, while Marley and Lisa slept together in the bed across from your own in the shared room. You didn't mind it at first, however, Isabel's wild sleeping and her (and occasionally Lisa's) snoring has started to dampen your mood and make you miss the nights you had to yourself, or at least when you had your own bed. Even so, you adjusted and adapted to it. Levi didn't hesitate to put them to work. He never took lightly to dirt or cluttered mess around the house, so naturally, he laid down the rules of the land about "cleaning up after yourself" and how "every other day the house would need to be cleaned". This usually annoying trait of his was one you found yourself catching on to, as Lisa's constant mess began to irritate you to no end, and you weren't shy to tell her off about it either. You found yourself taking after Levi, setting a rule of the bedroom needing to be constantly cleaned every two to three days.Aside from the few annoyances, you were thankful for the young girls. Quickly becoming attached, your friendship grew as the three of you spent every day together. You could relate to them, being the same age provided that benefit. Lisa easily warmed up to you, while Marley was a bit hesitant and more reserved, the two of you managed to find common ground and thus your friendship bloomed. Isabel quickly fell in love with the girls, especially Lisa, their personalities were one and the same; bubbly and energetic. While Farlan took on the big brother role quite easily, you were even convinced Marley had a slight crush on the tall fawn haired man. Levi as usual remained the same, but you could tell he was developing a soft spot for the younger girls.
Currently, you stood in the living room looking around to make sure it was cleaned to perfection...or at least to Levi's standards. He, Farlan, and Isabel left for a mission two days ago, and for the first time while they were gone you finally weren't alone. No anxiety attacks, no irrational fear, you felt okay with Lisa and Marley, you felt safe. Dusting off your tan skirt you made your way into the kitchen, shuffling around the cabinets to look for a snack.
"What are you looking for?" Marley's soft voice comes from behind. Startled, you jerk upward, hitting your head on the edge of the countertop.
"Ow...Marley, you scared me!" Your hand quickly flew to your head, rubbing the new bump that already started to form.
"Sorry (Y/N), didn't mean to," Marley snickered. "I just wanted to know if we're training today." Not a moment later, Lisa's loud footsteps came running from around the hall and her freckled-covered face quickly appeared, a grin that stretched from ear to ear showing off her front tooth gap with eyes that seemed to sparkle at the conversation between you and Marley.
"We're training today?!" came her excited shrill. You knew the girls enjoyed training ever since Levi introduced it to them. He began to push the three of you harder than he had ever pushed you before. Training three to sometimes four days a week did take a toll on the three of you, while often being tired and sore from the events you were getting stronger; a noticeable improvement coming from three nine-year-old girls. It wasn't just Levi either, Farlan and Isabel played their part in contributing to teaching new techniques and skills as well. At first, there was a cut-off from ODM gear, being told that instead, you needed to focus on training your body and working on endurance. So running laps in the outskirts of the city became a warm-up of sorts. They even started to add obstacles, forcing you to take different routes which may have included climbing up something or having to crawl through tight spaces, just to challenge your bodies further. Sometimes, you were pushed to the brink of your limits, but they never pushed you too far, after all, you were still just kids. The three of you learned to work together, if there was ever a time when one of you just couldn't keep up, the other two had to go back and help. No one was allowed to get left behind. Teamwork was extremely important.
