~Far Away from Home~

Lydia's POV:

The sun was setting. I didn't know where I was. I was just walking along the grass as cars drove past me.

Outta nowhere, a car decided to stop. "Are you okay? Do you need a ride miss" a unknown man with a daughter and wife asked me.

"I'm fine and yes I need a ride" I spoke loud enough so they could hear me. "Hop in" he said with a warming smile. It seemed a bit suspicious but I ignored my gut.

I opened the door and sat beside the daughter in the back. I put my stuff on the floor and just looked out the window.

I took a look at all of them. I noticed the daughter looked dirty. It looked like she hadn't showered and she look really scared.

She mouthed "jump out the car." I was confused and she said held up a note. 'They aren't going to help you, they are trying to kidnap you!' the note read. I looked around scared for my life. The man was taking all the intersections that led out the area. I quickly held onto my bag and tried to open the door.

As I tried to open the door, the man put a rag over my mouth.

I tried to kick and squirm. "Stop fighting me!" The man said with anger laced all in his voice. So his daughter quickly hit him in his face and he let go of me groaning, while he slammed the brakes.

I opened the door and jumped. I hit the grass and quickly ran behind the tree holding my bag.

The man's car stopped. He immediately got out and came to where I fell. I ran further back into the woods, in case he decided to roam the area.

I sighed a breath of relief while he walked back to his car, and got in it. The man slammed his fist on the horn and slapped his wife for possibly letting me go? I don't know but I didn't care, I was glad that girl saved my life. The wife saw me and mouthed 'Go' I nodded and went on my way while they drove off.

Now, it really isn't safe for me out here on my own. It's time to go to the only place I know....my real home.
