I didn't realize how close Autumn lived from my house. Her apartment was maybe ten minutes away. Once we arrived we both got out of the car. I ran inside the building and into the elevator as Autumn chased behind me. She followed pretty close behind and she pressed the floor she lived on. Once the elevator started moving she lightly hit my arm.

"really Mitchel? I didn't want to run!"

I laughed "oh well! I want to see your cat! what's its name?"

"her name is Salem. She's a very friendly black cat"

I felt my eyes widen "black cat?! awww! I love black cats! they are so cute!! how old is Salem?"

Autumn giggled at my reaction. damn is she adorable, I honestly just want to kiss her but I know I can't..

"Salem is only around one and a half although she is pretty big"

"awww! I can't wait to meet her!"

Autumn smiled. I love her smile. I wish I could tell her how I feel but I can't ruin the friendship we made..

we reached the floor and the doors opened. We both walked out of the elevator together and down the hallway. We walked side by side passing a few doors and I saw someone leaving their room. They were facing us as they walked down the hall. I recognized his face...but from where? did I see him at a concert...the party? wait! that's the guy who tried to rape Autumn! I saw him smiling creepily at Autumn as we walk towards each other. He walked passed Autumn as I moved to be behind her. As he walked passed Autumn I noticed him staring at her ass. That was it for me. I stopped and turned around. Autumn didn't notice and kept walking. I ran up to the guy and punched him in the face. Autumn must have heard him fall to the ground because she turned around and ran towards us. 

"Mitchel?! what are you doing?!"

I didn't respond as I kept beating the guy. there was blood coming from his mouth, his nose, and cuts I had made on face. The man got up and hit me in the face a couple times. I knew he probably bruised my cheek but it was nothing like I did to him. Autumn pulled me off and took my hand. She held my hand as she pulled me down the hall. We reached her door and she quickly unlocked it and rushed me inside. 

"what the hell, Mitchel?!"

"what? he deserved it and much worse. that was the guy who tried to rape you. I'm sorry shouldn't have gone out of control like that, but I couldn't let him get away with what he did to you.."

she looked at me with tears in her eyes. "you make it really hard to be mad at you.." 

I smirked before walking into the living room. I saw Salem sitting on a cat tree that was in front of a window. I went over and kneeled on the ground to pet her. Salem began purring.

"awww"

Autumn walked into the living room. "you two are adorable"

I got up and went over to Autumn. I really wanted to tell her that she was the adorable one..

"how is your cheek feeling?" she was inspecting my face for anymore damage

"oh, it's fine. To be honest it really doesn't hurt anymore"

"yay!" she giggled

"do you want your clothes back?"

"hm? oh, no it's okay you can keep them!"

"are you sure? you can have the hoodie back...it looks expensive"
