It was end of the day, finally. I was now hanging out with Tommo again. What can I say, we're truly inseparable. I remember spending every minute of every day with him when things got tough. Wish I would finally stop being a shy dickhead and finally tell him how much I am grateful for him but I think it's too soon on that, we know each other only for ten years, you know.
I looked at him, he was just lighting up his cigarette. I didn't agree with it, yes I did have a few cigarettes myself, but never regularly. For Louis though, it seems more like an addiction, at this point. I tried to talk him out of it but he claims that, he's got it under control. Although we both know what is the truth.
"So," I said after a few minutes of silence between us, it wasn't that awkward silence, it was the comfortable one.
"So?" He replied with that questioning tone, right hand with cigarette resting on his thigh of those black skinny jeans. "How did your Biology exam go?" I knew straight away how will he reply. "You know that it's hard for me to concentrate lately," he stated while looking down at his ruined vans. I just nodded with smirk on my face, not feeling like making fun of him, at that moment.
We were sitting on an old brick wall that was behind the school, we claimed it as our spot because no one really comes here, anyway.
When I looked away from Tommo, I saw someone standing few meters of us, he was quite tall and his hair were brown, short and they were in curls. I recognised him almost right away. I slapped Louis' thigh and he looked at me with furrowed eyebrows "Why-" he started but I didn't let him continue, "your prince charming is there" I smirked at him. He quickly put the cigarette in my mouth and jumped down from the wall, he landed on his feet and yelled at the boy "Harry?" Oh! I finally got to know his name, hoping I'll remember it. "What are you doing here?" I saw him wipe his sweaty hands onto the jean material that hugged his thighs.
I shook my head and chuckled at his act, pulling the cigarette out of my mouth and exhaling the smoke through my nose – I'm not the proudest of that talent, it still does look cool though.
"Louis! Hi!" He said with a huge smile on his face, I could see his dimples from up here. He was lowkey cute, not going to lie. "Hey? May I help you?" Louis asked, what was weird on this conversation was Louis' tone of voice, I've never heard that from him. "Well- kind of." The curly headed boy smirked at my best mate, "Do you by any chance know the owner of this book that was left behind in Bio?" Louis' eyebrows furrowed, "Um, I don't know? There should be name written in it, right?" I mentally slapped myself, he meant you, Louis!
Goddamn, this is starting to get awkward.
"Oh," Harry chuckled at Louis "yeah no, I was being sarcastic. I know this is yours Biology book, you left it at your desk after you stormed out, as soon as the bell rang." Harry said with his quite strong British accent. "Shit –" I heard Louis mumble and when I looked at him I saw him looking through his backpack. "You're right, I did leave my book there." Louis walked closer to grab the book but what was odd was that Harry did the same. Harry's large hand was on the book and I could see Louis' hand touching the other boy's, when he was trying to grab it.
Their hands touched and the eye contact they held was so strong.
I didn't even want to breathe, I was scared that I'd ruin the moment. I knew how much this meant to Louis, there's no way that I'm ruining this now.
"Harry!" A totally unfamiliar voice yelled from some corner where I couldn't see. Harry lost his grip on that book and looked to the source of the voice. "Yeah, sorry! I'm coming." He yelled back at the stranger, "See you at Bio, Lou!" He smiled kindly and walked away, gripping his backpack tightly while doing so.
