Have you ever tasted concrete before?
Yeah, didn't think so. I have, and it's not very pleasant. But [Y/N], why have you tasted concrete before, you might ask.
It wasn't my choice!

Thunk! Went my head against the ground, setting my nervous system ablaze with a new type of pain. It was a cold, firey type of agony that one can't exactly describe if you've never felt it.
Honestly though, it wasn't the taste of blood in my mouth that was worrying me. What was really worrying me, was the unbearable weight on my back.
What the hell even just happened?!
And why?!

"What the hell!" My voice sounds almost foreign to me as it echoes back faintly.
A flash of red drops into my peripheral vision, the weight atop me shifting. A low, almost pained groan comes from whatever the hell tried to flatten me into a pancake.
As soon as it's off, I roll over, sweeping my leg. Out goes the ankles and down drops what was apparently a man.

My heart drops at the sight. He falls back, smacking his ass against the cold concrete. His round, yet chiseled face scrunches in pain, almost hiding away the most shockingly golden eyes I've ever beheld. Massive arcing red wings stretch behind him for what seems like miles at this angle.

Holy fuck, I just ninja attacked an angel!

Oh, my poor gay heart about leaps out of its cage of bone as the angel shoots a dirty glare my way. He's gorgeous, I can't deny it, but he doesn't seem like a very nice guy. I rise to my feet, frantically brushing myself off. If he's going to attack me, I am going to be ready! Well.. at least this time I will be.
I did not attend those four sessions of karate class and earn a white belt all those years ago for nothing!
He glares, his eyes cold and harsh as stone. Still, I offer my hand, apologizing quickly. I know he's familiar from somewhere, but I'm not quite sure where from.
He takes my extended hand, grasping it and using it to pull himself up. The muscles along his arm contract, making the short gray sleeve of his Tee tighten. His hand is calloused, though from looks you probably wouldn't guess that. It's also far larger than I'd anticipated, though maybe it's weird for me to study his hands of all things. But then again, he does have those really pretty prominent knuckles..

Dragging my gaze from his hand as it leaves mine, I finally look back to those wings. That would probably explain those feathers that had gone by before. I've seen plenty of hybrid quirks, but I can't possibly recall ever seeing a bird quirk, let alone one that manifested like this.
Much to my relief, his grumpy face has calmed to a soft, more suitable gaze. Honestly, he's a pretty guy when he's not screwing up his face. Definitely someone I'd like to draw. But that's something to worry about later.

"Kon'nichiwa. Narashiunten ni tsuite mōshiwakearimasen." He shrugged, a light smile across his face.

Now, I knew he looked like he was from somewhere foreign, but what I wasn't expecting was the start off in the entirely other language. It's a shame I don't speak it because I'd be damned if I didn't find his voice both adorable and sexy at the same time. Not that it really mattered- those things to me are totally meaningless if the person isn't great. Afterall, who wants to date someone who's sexy if they're an absolute asshole? If you ask me, it makes them hideous.

I can't help but laugh nervously, trying to figure out how to best communicate that I only know English and some very, very light ASL. I shake my head a little. "Uh, I don't know what you're saying."
You dumb whore, I scold myself. If he's automatically speaking what sounds like Japanese, then he might not know English, thus rendering my speaking useless. Maybe he can sign?

I raise my hand to try, but he immediately grabs my wrist. It's so fast that I almost can't even comprehend it just happened. His face is serious again and he's shaking his head like I've just sworn in the name of something he worships. His grip is tight, making my forearm want to burst into tears at the contact. Cold fear freezes my veins, holding me still.
