"Run everybody run!" A man screams from the top of his lungs as he dodges another chunk of rubble.

It was pure chaos. People were screaming and running, rubble dropping from the sky, explosions happening in every direction.

"No! I'm not leaving without you dad!" A voice screamed through the mist of dust.

Where the voice came from, the man couldn't see, the dust cloud was too thick to see through.

"Just run!" He yells back at the voice.

The cloud of dust was thickening, making it harder to breathe or to see. He was practically blind and suffocating in the dust.

He didn't realize the oncoming pile of rubble about to crush him to death. He felt it, pain shooting through his entire body as his bones were being crushed under the extreme pressure of the rubble. He couldn't scream, he couldn't move, the pain was all over his body.

For a while, nothing was happening, no frantic screaming, no more explosions, no more pain.

He soon realized that he had succumbed, this was the afterlife that he was in. Everything was just dark, silent, all he could do was to think. Yet still, he wasn't able to recall a thing of what happened.

A sudden shriek broke the silence, a shriek reminiscent of a cat's. He was alive again, squirming, struggling, breathing. He was reborn, but he didn't know what he had become.

End of prologue.
