| 4. - A New Home |

Ultear's POV - 7:10 PM, Musutafu, Japan - Ashido Residence 

"Ok, this is it!", Mina said to the mage as they arrived at a two-story home. 

Ultear looked at the place with wary eyes but stayed silent as she followed Mina inside. 

"I'll show you where you'll be staying until then!" Mina said she led her to the stairs. 

As they went upstairs and onto the second floor, Ultear glanced around the area, which looked pretty normal, despite the fact that this world was supposed to be far more technologically advanced.

"...This is a nice...home, I...guess..." Ultear muttered as she glanced around the place. It was a little too girly for Ultear's liking but for Mina however, it was perfect.

"And here you are, you'll be staying in the guest bedroom."

It was a moderate guest room, with a bed and a desk inside it.  It was perfect for Ultear, as she's not one for crowding her room with stuff...although, she didn't bring her stuff so it didn't even matter anyways.

"Are sure your parents are okay with me staying here?"

"Of course, I let my friends stay over all the time, besides they're away on a business trip right now so it's just us two!"

"If you say so."

"Umm and also this is kind of embarrassing to ask but um...do you have any spare clothes? I didn't bring any extra with me", Ultear said, a little awkward saying that.

"Hmm? Oh of course! You can borrow some of my clothes in the meantime and we go shopping at the mall later on!"

"Anyways, you must be tired so I'll let you rest if you're feeling that way", said Mina as she was about to leave.

Just then, Ultear's stomach let out a low growl.

"Oh, I completely forgot, you didn't have anything to eat yet did you? Don't worry, I just got my groceries and can whip something up!"

"I mean, only if you want to. I don't want you to make another meal just for me."

Mina giggled, "It's nothing, besides, it seems from what I heard, that you haven't eaten in a while."

"Well...I guess I am hungry..."

"That's the spirit! Alright, just sit back and relax for a while and let you know when the food's done kay?" 

Ultear nodded and with that, Mina went downstairs to prepare dinner.

Ultear stared at where Mina once stood. Once again glancing around the room, she sat on the edge of her bed to think about the events that led her here. From using Last Ages, to being transported to this world, to saving the hostages, to meeting Mina, to now residing in this stranger's home.

She wonders what else will be in store for her in this world...

One thing she had to say about Mina though, was that she certainly seemed nice enough. Ultear then went to take a shower, as the odor from the alleyway was starting to linger on to her.
