I usher Sofia into the white marble bathroom and all the while she complains that, "I'm hurting her."
"Sofia!" I snap to get her attention and she automatically stops her blabbering to look at me through apprehensive eyes.
"Aurora?" She asks, her voice timid.
"Yes?"
"Why does Tom Hiddleston know who you are? And why are we staying at his house tonight?!" I calmly walk to the gleaming mirror and start to play with my shoulder length blonde hair. "Aurora!"
"I met him."
"You met him? When?" I make eye contact with her through the mirror.
"Yesterday night, I should have told you but I just wanted to keep it secret you know? Like my little secret.. I see that's a dumb idea now so I'm going to tell you everything." I look up to see the shock register in her eyes before it turns nonplussed and she crosses her arms at me, uh oh she's pissed.
"Well?" She says, her tone neutral before she waves her hand in a 'go on' gesture. "Explain away."
"I met him," I continue, "but well..." I can feel my cheeks turning beet red, "I might have come across to him that I have no idea that he's a superstar." I take a deep breath before my next words come rushing out, "and the only reason he's actually talking to me is because he finds it refreshing to talk to somebody that has no idea who he is."
I turn around to face Sofia head on and her jaw drops, "so you're lying to Tom Hiddleston?" She gasps out.
"not lying per se" I respond defensively, "just withholding information about me that he hasn't asked about..." I look up at her through my eyelashes. I felt like a child being scolded by an angry parent.
"Aurora that's lying!"
"I know!"
"Are you going to tell him?"
"of course not!" I gasp out in fear. "And you can't either, promise me."
It was Sofia's turn to ward walk to the mirror and start playing with her hair anxiously. "Are you asking me to lie to Tom Hiddleston?" She accentuates the word 'lie.'
"Not lie, per se. Just withhold information." She glares at me through the mirror and I can't help but chuckle at the situation we were in. We're talking about lying to Tom Hiddleston.
Before I know it we are both laughing at the audacity of our conversation. A knock at the door interrupts our hysterics and an elderly womans voice drifts through the door. "Are you lady's okay in there?"
I go and open the door to a very wealthy looking woman and smile at her embarrassed. "Yes, sorry we were just leaving." I wave Sofia over and we leave through the door together.
"Okay, you two young ladies have a good day now you hear?" The woman calls to us.
We both turn around and awkwardly wave to her. Still raw from our previous conversation.
As we were walking back to Tom through the hall I halt all of the sudden and Sofia runs into my back. "Hey!" she says when I turn around.
I ignore her exclamation, "Promise you won't tell him." I plead, "promise."
She looks at me for a long hard while before she sighed in resignation, "I won't like it Aurora, but I'll keep your secret." I yip in glee and hug her hard while she laughs. "Only because it might ruin my chance to have a sleep over at Tom Hiddleston's house!"
I roll my eyes at her as we walk through the corridor, only to make eye contact with the very man in question. He's standing by the door waiting for us and I walk up to meet him.
