"Let's end this once and for all."

After he said that, he left the girl alone who was standing at the same place like a lamppost.

"What do you mean he broke up with you?!"

The girl didn't answer as she stared at the ground emotionless.

She was crying and at that time, someone she knew was strolling around the park when he heard her crying and there they was, sitting on the bench as the male was waiting for her to give him an answer.

The male stared at the girl and sighed.

He moved closer to her and engulfed her body in a hug.

"It's fine Y/n. You can tell me. You know you can trust me, right?" He said as he stroked her (h/c) hair with his long slender fingers to calm her.

The (h/c) hair girl could feel warm tears threatening to fall from her eyes and she gave in.

She hugged the male tightly as she cried on his shoulder.

"I don't know what I did that made him leave me, Ran. It just happened suddenly," she cried.

"There, there. Cry all you want Y/n. I'm here with you," Ran said.

His fingers never stop stroking the girl's hair in a calm stroke.

After five minutes or so on, Y/n finally stopped crying and wiped the tears on her face with the back of her hands.

Ran noticed it and helped her to wipe the tears on her face.

"Are you feeling better right now? Or a little better or...still sad?" The braid-haired male asked as he stared at Y/n's puffy eyes.

Y/n nodded and gave him a small smile.

"I feel a lot better now, thanks to you. Thank you, Ran."

Ran smiled and patted the girl's head.

"It's nothing. As the older brother, I couldn't just let you stay sad after what my lil brother did."

Y/n nodded her head slowly as her eyes slowly gazed on the ground.

Ran stared at her for a while before signing.

A smile appeared on his face but it's an apologetic one.

"I'm sorry for what Rindou did. I don't know what happened to him. These few weeks, he always acts differently and doesn't talk much to me...I'm sorry..." Ran said. His eyebrows scrunched a little.

You could see his face frowned a little and the disappointment on his face.

Y/n looked up at him and stared at him.

She felt a pang on her heart when she saw his sad face.

"Please don't make that face, Ran. You hurt my heart when you make that face," Y/n said jokingly and touched her heart, showing that she's hurt.

Ran laughed a little and that's enough to make Y/n feel better after what happened to her.

"Come on, it's already late, tomorrow we have school...or do you want to stay at your house and rest instead of going to school?" Ran asked and stood up from the seat and Y/n did the same.

Y/n spaced out for a while before smiling.

"Nah, I will go to school like usual. Don't want to skip a class because of a break up. School before boys, yes," Y/n nodded to herself.

Ran smiled at her and patted her head.

"Good, good. Show Rindou that you didn't get affected by the break up because of him. Show how strong women can be, but please don't push yourself too hard, okay?"

Y/n nodded and gave a thumbs up to Ran.

Then, Ran sends Y/n to her house with his motorcycle because he's afraid something bad is gonna happen to her. It's almost midnight after all.

Just when Ran was about to drive away from Y/n's house, the girl stopped him.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

Y/n stared at him while her fingers fiddling with each other.

"When you get home...please don't be mad at Rindou or something..." she said.

Ran's eyes went wide and his left eyebrows raised a little.

"What do you mean? He just dumped you. Of course I'm going to scold him."

Y/n bit her lower lips before sighing.

"I know...but...let's just wait and see."

"What do you mean by 'wait and see'?"

"I don't know...but please...don't scold him. But if you want to ask him why he broke up with me...then yes, you can and if you don't mind, tell me his answer if he gives you an answer to your question."

Ran stared at the girl and sighed.

"Fine...I will do what I can. Go inside now, it's cold already. Goodnight and if you need to vent or something, just hit me up, okay?"

Y/n nodded before a thought hit her.

"Wait, Ran...why did you still care for me? You know...your brother already...left me so we don't have any connections now...you know," Y/n asked.

Her hands grabbed the hem of her jacket as she waited for the male to answer.

"Why you ask?"

Y/n slowly nodded her head, hey eyes staring into his purple eyes.

Ran thought for a little before smiling.

"What do you mean by why? My lil brother left you but that doesn't mean your connection with any of his family got cut. Besides, you're like my lil sister," he answered with a smile.

"Bye bye. See you tomorrow," Ran smiled and drove away.

Y/n watched as his figure slowly got smaller before disappearing in the darkness.

The girl looked at the night sky and smiled when she saw a star.

Suddenly, a tear slipped from her eyes and to her (s/c) cheek.

She noticed it and quickly wiped it away.

"Fuck...I don't think I can look at him anymore..." she muttered as her eyes got blurry.

Ignoring the urge to cry, she went inside her house and prepared to sleep.

"Let's...think about what happened tonight, tomorrow with a clear mind." She said before closing her eyes and drifting to the dreamland.

A tear slipped from the corner of her eye.
