(Seirin High School)
The young school in the Tokyo region, created less than a year ago. It was a rather simple high school with many enthusiastic students. The opening ceremony began, and multiple clubs were trying to recruit new members. Some were calm and lax with their offer. Others used force to get their offer across while reluctant freshmen tried to kindly refuse. One young freshman restrained herself from punching the captain of the girl's tennis team in the face.
The senior wore her tennis uniform and waved her racket to get Eri Kendrick and Kristen Maylis' attention. She almost smacked Eri in the face when she got up close to them.
"Hey there! Are you both interested in joining the Girls Tennis Team?"
Eri tried to answer calmly while Kristen watched her adopted sister patiently.
"I'm sorry but we're not really into tennis." she said.
"It's fine, you both can learn! We need more girls, especially ones that look like great athletes. You, over there, come off as a really strong young woman. And you're pretty tall too! We could use someone like you!"
The captain pointed to Kristen, who in return, gave her a blank look. Deep inside, however, she was flattered by the comment.
"Thank you for the comment about my sister, but like I said, we're not interested."
The girl's face fell immediately, but Eri wasn't affected by her disappointment.
"Can you please direct us to the basketball club?"
"But there isn't a girls basketball club in Seirin. Just a boys team."
"Can you still point out where that might be?"
The tennis captain was puzzled by Eri's question, but still pointed straight ahead. Eri and Kristen followed and spotted a table with two students sitting next to one another. The one on the left was a boy with spiky black hair and glasses while the other was a girl with extremely short brown hair. The stand didn't seem appealing as the other club stands, but Eri and Kristen weren't bothered by appearance. Instead, they marched forward, ignoring the tennis captain's calls about rethinking their choice.
"I heard this basketball team was small." Kristen said to Eri in English. The girl responded in the same language.
"Yeah but it's the best school we can go to that is close to home. Besides, you could've gone to Yosen High if you really wanted to."
"It's better if I stay with you anyway."
"But the girls basketball team recruited you, which doesn't happen to a lot of girls. They have a really good defense team, especially for the boys. You could've been an even better –"
"Like I said, it's better if I stay with you." Kristen cut her off, blankly.
Before Eri could argue, she unintentionally bumped into someone. She stopped in her tracks and raised her hands up in defense.
"Oh, I'm... sorry?"
Recovering, Eri tried to apologize, but found no one in front of her. Looking around, she could've sworn she hit a body.
"Eri, are you okay?" Kristen asked.
Putting her hands down, Eri shook her head.
"Yeah I'm fine. I guess I didn't hit anyone."
The girls finally made it to the table and were greeted by the two students. The girl spoke first.
"Good morning, how may we help you?"
