Thank you for joining me and opening this collection of short stories. I started writing this story called Everbloom, USA which is about a guy who comes back to his small town after his twin brother commits suicide and he tries to find out why he killed himself while facing the trauma of the past and the reasons why he left his small town in the first place. It's a darker story with lots of sadness and I realized quickly it starts sad and heavy but I wanted to show that the main character Diego did have an amazing life after he left his small town and before he returns. So, that is how this collection of short stories came to be. They're lighter, happier and hopefully if you choose to read them you'll get a better understanding of who he is before you read Everbloom and his life falls apart!

To set the stage within the overall story Diego is writing a novel about his life, primarily his love story with his boyfriend. So think of these short stories as sneak peeks of his book he's writing. If that makes sense. So the intro is him starting his novel. I think the last story will actually be the moment he finds out about his brother and thus this collection of short stories will end right before Everbloom, USA begins which is when Diego actually returns to town.
