Narrator's Pov

"HAHA! What a loser!" A girl laughed at a sobbing young girl of around 12

"Yeah! Her soulmate hates her!" cried another 

"What a freak!" yelled another, delivering a swift punch to the the crying girls stomach. The girl doubled over in pain and dropped to the floor.

 Everyday was the same. She had reported them several times but no one had believed her, after all, who would believe a stupid nobody who's own Soulmate hated them. Eventually the girl was moved to another school where she always either covered up her names with make-up or wore long sleeved tops or cardigans. She mostly kept to herself but made one friend eventually in 9th grade and they stuck together like glue despite being total opposites. 

The quiet girl, Y/n L/n. She is the freak whose own soulmate hates them. She hasn't met them yet. and she doesn't want to. She can stay single forever and not care, Her best friend was pretty much the only person she tolerated outside of her family, mind you, she pretty much is family. 

But our story starts not with an annoying best friend nay! But with a girl, desperately trying not to be late.

Reader's POV

'SHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTT!!! I'M GONNA BE LAAATTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!' I ran through the halls stumbling here and there but never stopping completely. At last I reached the classroom and burst in, a minuet late. The classroom was empty. 'oh yeah. I wake up early everyday so I'm always here before everyone else to read whatever book has got me interested recently. Lunair (my best friend in the whole world and the only person who is tolerable) thinks it's what psychopaths do but she always get's detention for lateness and I've never had a detention in my entire school career.'

"Addie"

"Yes Miss"

"Y/n"

"Yes Miss"

"Lunair....Lunair!" the door banged open and everyone turned their heads to see Lunair swaggering in 5 minuets late.

"Here Miss, and before you give me detention, I was showing the newbie Varonica or whatever to the class" New kid? Ugh, great. Another human. Bleugh. Hate those things.

"Not quite my name but at least you got the first three letters right" said a boy with black hair and a single blue strip in his messy fringe who appeared out of absolutely nowhere. 'first three letters? V A R, they sound familiar..................CRAP! V A R ARE THE FIRST LETTERS OF MY TATTOOS!!! Calm down, calm down! It might not be him. I'm sure there's lots of names beginning with those letters! Just don't over think it.....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!' 

"Of course, Introduce yourself to the class dear." 'NO PLEASE DON'T-'

"Okay, hi everyone! I'm Varian!" he gave a friendly wave and I passed out.

~Le Timeskip inspired by Lunair carrying you to the school nurse on her back~

I jolted awake due to a strong smell.

"there. See. I am a proffesional! Smelling salts wake up unconcious people NOT slapping them with a dead cod!" said a crisp and annoyed voice from above me. It was the school nurse. I sat up from the arm chair I was in just in time to see Lunair lowering a dead cod and narrowing her eyes at the nurse. I fake coughed to get their attention and they both looked at me I waved with a weak smile and the nurse started fussing about the nurses office looking for some thing or another, while Lunair approached me and spoke

"I had to pull some bullshit about you fainting from anxiety right out of my ass so your welcome"

"You spelt 'you're' wrong. You said absentmindedly

"sHhhhhhhHHHH leave the poor author alone. She's bitten off more than she can chew and she never sleeps. Anyway, because the fourth wall ain't cheap, let's talk about the new kid." you paled. 

"It's him Lu, I don't want to know him. But I don't think I have a choice." I sighed, Lu smiled reasuringly

"Relax. You don't have to talk to him. Just pretend he's your enemy or something and maybe he won't notice. Also- GET IN LOSER! - I got him to come so you can talk it out or some shit. So I guess you do have to talk to him. Yeah I didn't think it through, please don't be mad"

"You WHAT!?" I yelled. The nurse went into her office and locked the door as if saying 'Handle this yourself'  

"Are you trying to get into trouble?" said a voice from behind the chair. She knew who it was, but she couldn't stop herself from turning in time. He was wearing ripped jeans, a band T'shirt for the guns and roses, and his ocean blue eyes held a twinkle unlike anything you'd ever seen. He  was perfect. You somehow got yourself to scowl in dislike and turn away. Crossing your arms.

"Hi, I'm Varian." 

"Good. Do you want an award for having a name or..." He frowned 

"No need to be a jerk about it. I just want to know your name" I rolled my eyes 

"I'll give you a clue. The first letter is in the alphabet" 

"Could you just tell me it?"

"I don't tell strangers my name"

"Well I've told you mine"

"Good job, Do you want a cookie for that?" he sighed, turning to Lu, she answered

"If she murders me it's your fault. Her names Y/n." I gave her a death glare. 

"Remind me to kill you later" I growled 

"Calm down feisty pants, just trying to get you a date!" you blushed but still delivered a menacing look to Varian,

"I would never EVER date him" you growled. It stung to say it, and you could see hurt flicker across his sparkling baby blue eyes. But it quickly vanished replaced by hatred.

"Good! I would never date YOU either!" he turned on his heel and shoved the door open angrily. When the door had banged shut, you let out a breath you didn't realise you were holding.  

"This is my nightmare. Murder me Lu."

"sure, rainbow knife or regular knife?"

"I-"

HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! So yes there will be a part to but not for a little while because I was just in online school and physical school starts monday but it's my last week of term so it's fine I'll update next saturday. Also, I'm sorry this was so late I've been focusing on my other 'xreader' fanfic so please don't kill me.
