I hesitated for a moment before answering Snape's question.
Did I want to get a drink? One drink, could lead to two drinks, then to three drinks, and next thing I know, I'm making a mistake I can't take back.
However, the naughty side of me was chastising me for even thinking about turning him down.
'It's just a drink between colleagues'.
With that, I nodded, following him to The Three Broomsticks. We entered the bar, and made our way to a back table, by a window.
Snape pulled out my chair for me, and I smiled gratefully. Wow, chivalry isn't dead.
A bartender I didn't recognize came over to us.
"What can I getcha two?"
I glanced at Severus, thinking to myself.
"I don't know what he's having, but give me three shots of fire whiskey." I responded.
I saw Severus raise an eyebrow, but didn't comment. However, what he said next, was quite unexpected.
"I'll do the same."
This time, it was my turn to raise an eyebrow, and I couldn't help what came out of my mouth then.
"You take shots?"
Severus gave me a slightly amused look.
"You say that like it's a surprise, Miss. Underwood."
I chuckled lightly. "Excuse me, I just thought fun was a foreign concept to you."
Snape didn't get a chance to respond, because the bartender had returned with our drinks.

The later it got at Hogsmeade, the more the party began to start, especially at the Three Broomsticks.
I was sufficiently drunk. That much I knew, however, I couldn't tell if Severus was as well. He was hard to read.
Just then, a rather young, and semi-attractive man approached our table.
He smiled at the both of us, but his gaze landed on me.
"Care to dance, mi'lady?" He held out his hand to me, much like a gentleman would, and with an encouraging look from Snape, I nodded, grabbing the man's outstretched hand.
I followed him to the middle of the bar, and we started to dance to the music that was playing throughout. It wasn't slow or romantic, it was more faster paced.
The man was playful, and not forward, holding my hands and just dancing this jig with me. I started to laugh as he twirled me, any worries I had forgotten, and I just enjoyed the moment.
With the next spin, I ended up twirling backwards into someone's chest.
I couldn't help but laugh as I turned to look at the person, intent to apologize for my clumsiness.
Surprise, surprise...it was Severus.
He just looked down at me, a glint in his dark eyes, and an amused smirking lightly lining his lips. He still had his hands on my arms, and I noticed I was still against his chest. I bit my lip lightly, but stepped back slightly out of his hold.
"You are quite the ball of fun, Miss Underwood. But I believe it's high time we make our way back to the castle grounds."
I smiled, nodding.
He released his gentle hold on my arms, as we prepared to make our way out of the bar.
The man who had danced with me approached.
"Mi' lady, the dance was appreciated."
In a gentlemanly manner, he took my hand, placing a kiss on top of it. I giggled, thanking him as well.
Out of the corner of my eye, Snape looked upset for some reason, but he replaced it with a hard stare.
Finally, we left the Three Broomsticks, and started to make the trek back to Hogwarts.
On the way, I absentmindedly started to shiver, realizing I had forgotten my coat when I had left to come to Hogsmeade earlier that day. It was autumn time, but I hadn't expected it to get this cold.
We stopped walking then, and I watched in shock as Severus took off his black coat and gently draped it over my shoulders.
I smiled slightly, gripping the edges of the coat in my fingertips.
"You know, I was doing just fine. I wasn't THAT cold." I stated, as we continued to walk.
I heard the amusement in his voice before I even looked to him. "I couldn't listen to you shiver anymore, Rose. It was quite irritating."
I laughed out loud then, unable to help myself. After a few or so more minutes, we finally approached the castle grounds. We let ourselves back in, putting the protection spell back in place after we did so.
We walked side by side down the corridor, until we reached my personal quarters.
I turned to Severus, a genuine grin on my face.
"Thanks for the invitation. I must say, it was quite fun."
Severus nodded. "I agree, Miss. Underwood."
I sighed, a small smirk on my lips. I took a step forward, closer to him. I looked up at him, as I gripped his coat in my fingertips, and I pulled it gently from my shoulders.
"When will you get used to just calling me 'Rose', Severus?" I questioned.
Severus seemed frozen in his spot, and as I was watching him, I saw him glance down at my lips, then back to my eyes.
I handed him his coat, and took a step back, turning to the door of my quarters. I looked at him over my shoulder.
"Thank you for lending me your coat. See you tomorrow morning at breakfast. Goodnight Severus."
Without waiting for a response, I stepped inside, gently shutting my door behind me.Snape's POV:
"Goodnight, Rose." I responded, as the silence filled the corridor.
I pinched the bridge of my nose, growling to myself as I started to make my way to my quarters.
'Severus, you're done for.'
