Robin had a mask of a black rabbit. He painted on the pastel yellow walls in red. It was the only space that had light he broke the lamp during the scuffle. There you can see where the red paint was coming from. She lied there bleeding away, she was not alive anymore none of them were. When he was done he backed up. Revealing his latest masterpiece a portrait of his victim. As the car lights roll by it reveals more and more. Of everybody in the room. Everybody except him. He heard a knock on the door. He turned his head.
It was his father, Hiroshi, to walk into the room. Change the day now in that portrait is now on a pastel blue wall. The portrait itself is just a tree, a sakura tree.
"My word I called you three times already. What the fuck are you doing up here my boy?"
"Mean word."
"Yabai, mean the word? I'm over here worried sick. I thought you died in your room. Or something. I know you're upset that we moved into a different country but we need to leave for good reason. And maybe if we get settled enough we can get your brother to join us. God only knows when the law comes after them."
"Are they bad people?"
"Bad people with good intent. Young people who don't know there's another way."
"Isn't that bad?"
"Unfortunately so if it's taken to another level. That's why I tell you a young age to know your limits."
"But they fight evil."
"They don't fight evil, they kill it and over time it starts killing them, turning into what they were trying to get rid of in the first place. They keep repeating this endless cycle of destroying evil and realize they are evil. It's a beautiful concept to think about but it's not a good thing when put into action. You watched the person you knew and looked up to for long time become the monster you work so hard to destroy."
"Ezekiel said monsters aren't real."
"The monsters with three eyes and is under your bed isn't, but the monster in the mirror is. That's the monster he is most afraid of."
Hiroshi puts an apple on the cabinet with a small bite on it, right in front of a small mural painted on the wall. The mural had a weird big dark creature with fangs and horns. It had little houses and cars in his claws.
"That monster is inside you and those monsters are real."
He gives Robin a kiss in the head.
"Now enough talking of evil. I moved here because we need to get away from the evil. Now clean yourself up, dinner is ready and I made you your favorite Mexican dish tacos but not the cheap one was the hard shell that you don't like."
He leaves downstairs and he called it out to a dog, There runs out a tiny fluffy Chihuahua with white fur. Her name was snuggles. Her paws were covered in pastel pink, she was the one who made the pedals. He held her and saw her paws and smiled. "This kid."
He proceeded to carry her down the stairs and put her on a doggie bed when she promptly sits on. The kitchen was fancy. But small but the dining room table was right in front so is easier to navigate. The house itself was an open space house. Plenty of room to do with they please and keep an eye on one another in case ending where to happen. The best part of moving into this place was the fact that no one takes down your rainbow flag. The neighborhood they moved into people with high to them.
The neighborhood they used to live in people used to yank down the flags. Others breaking the cars and innocent people get hurt.
In this country if you were to do that you become fine for disrespecting private property. You do it multiple times you get arrested and they weren't the only ones in the neighborhood. Moving to Ravenniia what's the best thing ever.
As he was sitting up dinner, he was thinking about what will happen if Ezekiel did move here, would he be welcome in this society. He had a pamphlet in the trash that read assassin program internship. He threw it out so Robin wouldn't see that as potential career opportunity. He didn't want Robin to end up like Ezekiel or his life partners. He didn't want that life for him. He looks at a picture of his life partners Simon and Monique. "Those boys are wonderful, I just don't want the youngest to fall on the same path as the rest of us. I fear that he will not be able to come out of it."
Tears fall down his face "God why did you leave us here so soon. I knew something was wrong I wish, I could have done something."
All the way back to the US, in the headquarters of the murder angels. In Mika's science lab something was happening to the cloning machine.
