Ch1. Escape from hell

"You're a useless king! You never treat anyone here with respect, and you do NO good for us. You're an awful king, Jinx." The firey eyed demon raged at her ruler. "Do you really think that the people of hell are going to allow you to stay in reign of this kingdom if you keep slacking like this?"

"Whatever Mazikeen, I'm the only ruler this hell hole has anyways? Who would even take my place? I'm the best of the best! The top demon of this town, the king bee-" "bees don't have a king, idiot." Mazikeen scowled, picking up the random wrappers and bottles around the kings hall. "Listen, jinx. You understand that I'm always going to be here for you, but the demons in hell do not appreciate you soaking up the heat waves while you sit on that stupid chair!" "It's not a cha-!" "Do you KNOW, that the angels of heaven have tried to completely wipe out the demon race TWICE in the last week?? Have you even noticed that we've been in battle?"

Jinx was paying far from attention. He stuck the side of his pinky nail in between his tooth, digging out any leftovers that decided to camp out in his mouth. "JINX!" His crimson eyes shot towards his angry friend. "Whaaattt?? What Mazikeen what are you even doing here??" He said waving her off. Mazikeen sighed walking up to jinx. "When you get kicked out, do not come begging me for help." Mazikeen turned on her heels, walking out of the kingdoms front door."

"Tch. Drama queen." Jinx shut his eyes, allowing the dark circles under his eyes to rest. Had hell really been under attack? Jinx didn't think so, he would've done something by now if it was true! He's leader of hell, he's not scared of any stupid angels anyways. Kill everyone in hell anyways? See if he cared! Well, don't kill Mazikeen..who would pick up his trash and make him food?

He opened his eyes. Maybe he does treat Mazikeen poorly when she's just trying to help him. "God. Stupid girl." He got up stretching his arms. "I guess I should apologize. Not that I mean it or anything." He smirked walking towards the doors.

Before he could reach the handle, it suddenly burst open, a group of hells demons surrounded around the castle.

"KILL HIM!" "HAVE HIM EXECUTED!" "OUT WITH JINX, IN WITH LUCIFER!"

A large amount of screams and chants could be heard, waking jinx up for sure. "What the hell is going on??" Jinx asked to his guards, well..former guards I would say.

"Jinx, you are no longer ruler of hell, you will be executed at once." A tall demon soldier announced, grabbing onto Jinx's left arm. "I order you to let me go!! Er- now!!" Jinx didn't really know anything about being king to begin with, he had just inherited the role and liked to boss people around.

"I said- let me GO!" Jinx argued pulling his arm out of the soldiers grip, he ran towards the back doors, managing to escape. "AFTER HIM!!!" was all jinx could hear as he ran through the pits of hell, trying to find the best place to be out of sight.

Jinx finally came across Mazikeen's house, he ran in through the back door slamming it behind him. "MAZIKEEN-!!" he rummaged through the books and files that were stacked in the demons house. "Your highness-! No- jinx. Jinx what are you doing in my house??" Mazikeen set down the book of spells she was reading and looked up angrily at her stupid friend.

"Cmon ? A demon can't visit his favorite friend?" He said, almost out of breath. Mazikeen did not buy this. "Since when do you address me as your friend? What do you want jinx?"

"You gotta get me out of here maz." "No. I told you don't beg me for help when you're in trouble!" Jinx ran up to her grabbing her shoulders. "Maz they're trying to execute me!! You don't want me dead do you??" Mazikeen crossed her arms looking away. "You know what? Maybe I do. You're nothing but an awful per- auh-!!" Jinx pulled the girl into a tight hug. "Mazikeen. Please."

Mazikeen narrowed her eyes, but it wasn't often that her childhood friend hugged her like this. "Fine. I'll do something, but only because your life is on the line idiot!" The demon smacked jinx in the back of the head with her spell book.

"I'm going to have to send you away jinx, for good." "What the hell no?? Cant you just paralyze the people?? Or I don't know kill them in stead of me?? They deserve it! You don't kill your mas-!"
"Jinx do you want to live or not?? I'm not going to make such a huge sacrifice if you aren't going to be grateful!!"

Jinx gave a defeated sigh. "I am grateful or whatever. Where are you even sending me???" "I don't know. But where ever  it is it's not hell, so you'll be ok!!" Jinx ran his fingers over his eyes then into his hair groaning. "But I won't be king anymoooorreee!!" "And who's fault is that?? I told you to fix things over and over again, but you never listened! You never do!!"

Mazikeen had been doing hand signs for the past few minutes, that jinx didn't understand. "What the fuck are you doing with your hands anyways? You look like an idiot." Mazikeen glared at him. "I'm opening a portal. You're the worst person ever and I don't know why I'm doing this." She turned back around. "But...I don't want to see you die in front of me."

A orange circle appeared out of the floor, wind blowing into Mazikeen's house rather strongly, papers flying everywhere.

"Well Jinx, this looks like your final destination." Mazikeen said turning around , a soft smile on her face. Jinx walked forward towards the hole, looking down into it. "Looks scary." "Not as scary as your stupid face." Mazikeen laughed crossing her arms. Jinx let out a small laugh. "I see how it is maz. Too bad you're gonna miss this scary face too much? But then again who wouldn't~" Mazikeen rolled her eyes. Jinx felt a slight pang of guilt rise in his stomach.
"Maz I-"

[BANG , BANG, BANG]

Mazikeen and Jinx's eyes widened and shot towards the door. Towns demons voices could be heard, searching for jinx.

"Jinx, go!! You have to go before they find out you're here!" Jinx grabbed Mazikeen's shoulders. "C..come with me Mazikeen! We can rule this new place together, and you can pick up my trash!" Mazikeen stared blankly into jinx's red orbs, tears welling inside of her own. "Jinx, that would be wonderful.." she hugged the boy around his neck. "But I just can't.." she gave an empty smile before pushing jinx off of her into the portal.

"MAZIKEEN-" jinx shouted looking up at the girls wet face that contained such a sad smile, as he fell into what felt like nothing.

Mazikeen closed the portal, quickly wiping her eyes and ran to the door.

Before jinx knew it, he had fallen unconscious.
