"So. What do you think we should do for our final piece vesper?" The pink hair girl said, pushing up her glasses with her free hand, the other holding a paint brush.

"I was thinking...galaxy inspired? It's a space themed art gallery anyways." The green haired boy wrapped an arm around the girls shoulder staring at the blank canvas in front of them. "Maybe a different kind of galaxy, with warm colors instead of cool colors?" He said looking down at the short pink haired girl. She didn't bother looking back up, but instead nodded. "I get your point but.." she looked up at him. "Don't you think EVERYONE in shadow hill academy is going to do a galaxy themed painting?? I thought you were creative.." she smirked pushing him off of her lightly.

"Aggressive today giyuu??" He smiled at his best friend. "Well then, maybe something to do with planets? A Saturn painting would be cool right?" Giyuu nodded. "Yeah but...it still seems so plain...what can we do to make this painting stand out??"

Giyuu tapped her chin thinking to herself. She was determined to win this years showcase. "Maybe we should use oil pastels instead of paint..that would give the piece texture at least??" Vesper nodded in agreement, however he would agree with anything Giyuu says, he admired her passion for artwork as did he himself enjoy art very much. "I like your idea giyuu, it's interesting!" He said walking to the closet in their art room. It was after school hours but Giyuu had begged her friend to stay late since they needed to start on their submission for the space art festival.

Vesper grabbed a box of oil pastels and shut the door with his foot, walking back over to Giyuu. "What colors should we use then? Like..regular Saturn colors or opposite?" "Opposite of course!! What do you think being an artist is about???" Giyuu giggled. Vesper felt his cheeks slightly heat up, her smile was wonderful. At frantic times, giyuu's smile was the best thing in the world to vesper.

"U..um...anyways let's get started." Giyuu stuttered before turning back to the canvas to begin drawing. She was completely oblivious to vespers feelings, but..still appreciated that he was her best friend. She stroked the oil pastels against the canvas in a circular motion. "Can you start the background vesper? Add any background details you want..I want this to be creative!" Vesper grabbed his stool and pushed it beside giyuu's. "Sure, what color should I start it with?"

Giyuu and Vesper worked very hard on the piece until it was finished. It came out very nicely, and vesper was confident enough that it would win and make Giyuu happy.

Anything to see her smile again.

Giyuu signed her signature right under vespers and smiled. "How pretty! I think we did good." She smiled at her piece proudly before high fiving vesper. Giyuu put her piece on a rack and grabbed her belongings.

"What are you going to do today vesper?" She said looking up at her friend. "Well..I have band practice today, so I'm probably going to go there now and then maybe grab something to eat later..want to meet up somewhere?" Giyuu looked forward. "Yeah, I think I can manage to go out tonight..we haven't in a while!" Vesper nodded.

"I'm probably gonna go paint some mountains out by the river. But I should be back before 5 at least! I'll text you around 6 ok?" Vesper nodded once again. "See you then vesper!" The girl smiled before walking towards the Segway station. Vesper sighed softly, before turning around with the cheesiest grin on his face. I'm finally making moves...one step at a time! He happily made his way back home to get ready.

Giyuu stopped by her apartment to grab a few supplies: water bottles, paint, paint brushes, a canvas, and some light snacks. She set her things in her backpack and headed out to the river side.

It was a beautiful afternoon, and giyuu was satisfied with how her day has been going so far. Now it was time to let her paint brush ease her mind. She set up her supplies and began to trace out the triangular figures of the mountains in front of her.
