A few days later Val's and Steve's plan succeeded, Val hasn't seen Steve during the past few days but the paperwork easily got sent to him, and his business was saved. Once Adam found out his daughter betrayed him and not only partnered up with the enemy but married him, he didn't take it lightly.
Her father's men were given instructions to tie her up and get answers out of her, he no longer treated her like a daughter but an enemy of his own. When they first tied her up they would constantly punch her in the face every time she would say something she wasn't meant too, or if she kept her mouth shut. She passed out from the pain and she was woken up again from one of the men shaking her for the hundredth time.
Her eyes opened a smidge, then fell back shut as her head went limp to her shoulders. The man rolls his shoulders then brought his leg up kicking her hard in the side, a loud crunch punctuated the impact, as she jolted awake. Eyes wide with pain, as she let out a wail. The sharp pain in her side made it perfectly clear he had cracked her rib, blinking away the tears her father suddenly strolled into the room. His eyes observed his no longer daughter with deep cuts and bruises all over her face. Her weak eyes locked with her fathers. She couldn't believe the monster he had become, she couldn't help but think was he always like this? And she was too blind to see it?
He always treated her like a princess, it was impossible to know. "Still not going to speak up? You're really making it hard for yourself, Valentine.." She squints her eyes shut before opening them to meet his gaze. "I go by Val now" She states in a groggy voice. Her father chuckles walking towards her grabbing her jaw tightly making her wince, he forces her to look up into his dark eyes.
"Give me the location of Steve Roger's home, and end this suffering for yourself" Val's breathing get's a little faster. "For the millionth time, I don't fucking know, It's literally in middle of nowhere, besides.. what's done is done, no turning back now" Her father roughly let's go of her face letting it fall back down.
"You have no shame do you?!" He screams at her. "None" She talks back coldly, she was no longer scared, no longer that shy innocent girl who would of begged her father for release. All the pain she was feeling, all the punches and kicks she took made her numb. To her father, she was a whole different person, he just saw her as a Rogers. Not a Quinn. Adam took out a pocket knife, flicking it open with a loud snap.
She recoiled in on herself, trying to lean away. He presses the blade into her cheek, making her shut her eyes. He pushes it down, cutting her skin with one swipe of the razor sharp edge. A stammered puff of air, shot out of her at the feeling. Warm, sticky blood spilled from the cut, dripping down her throat. "You going to kill me, father? Do it, I'm not scared of you" Her father laughed at her response.
"Oh no my dear, I won't kill you.. that'll be too easy.. I'm just going to make sure you suffer by my side for eternity" Moments later the door to the warehouse bursted open with men firing, all the men including Adam ran and ducked behind barrels, Val could barely keep her eyes open by now her vision was started to blur out but she tried very hard to stay awake.
Followed by the men were Nat, James and Steve. Once Steve saw Val he dropped the hand holding the gun to his side as his eyes instantly turned black. Val took a look straight at him, looking barely coherent. Not even taking notice of the war going around her, just seeing Steve there gave a little glimpse of hope. Hoping he would save her.
The sight of Val covered in blood and bruises pained him in a way, he felt sick to his stomach how a father could let this happen to his own daughter, no matter what he knew she had done, it wasn't right. Val may of been an enemy at one point but he never took it this far to hurt her, he may wanted her dead once or twice but he wouldn't of beaten her black and blue. He never laid a hand on a woman that way. Darkness seeped into his veins shooting left right and centre at the men around him, his aim was to kill her father but he seemed to have disappeared.
