My heart feels like it's trying to rip its way out of my chest... Why would Ellie do this? We've been friends for six years... I don't understand...
My phone starts to vibrate in my pocket. Answering it, -without looking at the caller i.d.- I say, "Hello?"
"Lucas. It's Zay. There's something you should know..."
"And that is?"
"Ellie didn't send those texts to you..."
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure she did, Man."
"Look at them again. She doesn't text like that."
I do as he says, realization hitting me like a semi. "Fuck."
"Can you take one guess as to who did send those to you?"
There's only one person I can think of. "Riley."
"Got it in one."

Ellie's POV
*her room*
Sitting at my desk I hear a knock on my bay window... I walk over and open it. "Lucas?"
Tears come to his eyes. "Hey."
"I didn't se-"
"I know," he says, cutting me off. Once he's inside, I rush forward to hug him.
"I'm so sorry about my sister..."
"It's ok," he says, pulling me closer.
"It's not... Her soul purpose in life is to make my life hell."
"I know, but I'm the one who should be sorry..."
"Why?"
"I was so caught up in being hurt that I didn't think... I really thought you didn't want to be a part of my life anymore..."
"I would never not want to be in your life... I feel like that didn't make any sense," I say with a giggle.
