When she was 14 no one wanted her, but That's until her new family the Davis's showed up they didn't want a child they wanted a teenager, because she would understand things better, now she is 17 years old works at a small café and better than ever at least that's what everyone thinks, but deep down she suffers for depression. She always thought what would happen if she committed suicide. Here she was standing on a bridge at a park. No one was around, nobody to save her. Valerie sat there crying for hours. Finally Valerie stood up on the ledge, she was about to jump when all of a sudden someone grabbed her and held her. "What are you thinking" the guy said "I just want it all to end, I have nothing to live for so just let me go."Valerie said "Everyone one has something to live for- what's your name?." "Valerie,Valerie Davis." She stated "Well Valerie like I was saying you have something to live for even if you don't fell like it god has a plan for everyone." He said " yeah yeah okay just put me down." Valerie said "Come with me" he said "Where?" Valerie said "Let's go to ihop, I'll pay and we can talk about you"he said "Now why would I go anywhere with a stranger?" Valerie stated "I'm Jonah, Jonah Marias" he said "Alright then Jonah why would you want to help me" Valerie said " I just want to help you, no matter what you say" Jonah said "Fine let's go"Valerie said They headed to his car he held her door open, she got in and buckled up, Jonah got inside the car and started driving to the nearest IHOP. When they got there Jonah and Valerie headed inside and got seated. Valerie ordered a black coffee. Jonah ordered the same thing. "You saved me. Why? Valerie said He took a sip of his coffee and said "Everyone needs something to live for" Valerie took a drink of her coffee and said "I just wish that I had something to live for I mean yeah I have a loving family, who would do anything for me but I just feel like something is missing you know" "I get the feeling listen I'm going to give you my number and if you need anything don't hesitate to call or text me okay" Jonah said "Okay I will"Valerie said while smiling "Promise?" Jonah said "I promise"Valerie said She handed Jonah her phone and he put his number into it, he texted his self and handed it back to Valerie. Valerie changed your contact name to Jonah🦋 Jonah changed your contact name to Valerie🦋 As soon as they finished their coffee they headed out. "Where do you live?." Jonah said "Um I live on Sunset Boulevard" she said "No way I live like 5 blocks from there." He said while smiling "That's cool, thanks for today Jonah I really needed this"Valerie said "Hey no problem just text or call if you need an other day like this I really enjoyed today I really needed this too"he stated They pulled up to her drive way she started to get out when Jonah grabbed her hand "You'll be alright?"he said "I'll be alright" she smiled and shut the door She started walking up to her door she turned around to see if he left yet he was still sitting there watching her, she waved goodbye to him. She unlocked the door and headed inside, she looked out the window and seen him pulling out of the driveway. Valerie just stood there smiling "I think I just found the piece that I was missing"she whispered to herself She headed upstairs to her room and went to the bathroom she took a shower, brushed her teeth. She got out of the shower she heard her phone go off. It was just her parents telling her they will be back in town in 2 weeks. She texted back "alright I love you guys" She brushed her hair and put on some pajamas and headed to her bed she posted on Instagram before she went to bed

Valerie put her phone down stared out of her window watching the stars shine. She was hoping If she would ever see Jonah again yeah she has his number but she doesn't want to bother him with her problems. She tossed and turned and tried to fall asleep but she couldn't her anxiety was getting to her.
"What if Jonah didn't actually mean what he said about texting or calling him, he was just trying to be nice, or what if he felt sorry for her and didn't want to see her again." All theses thoughts worried her but she didn't care what they were saying she got out of bed pulled out a guitar and played a song she wrote
