Dean decided to dress up since it was to be the last night he would see Cas. That's what he thought at least. He dressed in a black suit with a black tie. He grabbed his car keys and headed to the Impala.
He turned up the music and a bit of AC/DC came on. He was still singing along when he pulled up to Cas' house. He was even still singing when he hadn't realised Cas slid into the car.
"Nice singing Dean." "Shit Cas!" Dean jumped and quickly turned the music down so that it was just faintly playing in the background.
"You scared me." "I didn't mean to. I'm sorry. Shall we get going?" "Of course." The ride to the restaurant was silent except from when Castiel was giving directions to Dean.
"It's the next left. There's a small parking lot just to the right." Dean parked up and they both got out of the car.
"So Cas I'm really sorry about shouting at you the other day. I'm just so stressed with everything right now. It doesn't help Anna won't leave me alone too."
"It's fine Dean and about Anna, just tell her to back off. If you are direct with her she'll get the message." "What like you, did you mean?" Dean snarked back. Castiel frowned. "Dean you're the one who came on to me at the party. You're the one who kissed me the other day. You may have said things but actions speak louder than words."
Dean looked shocked. "I'm sorry Cas. I don't remember anything from the party & it was to shut you up arguing." "So it didn't mean anything?"
"I- it- I don't know." Dean stammered. Castiel sighed. "Dean why-" Castiel paused. "What Cas?" "I don't know Dean. Lets just go eat something and have a good time okay?" Dean nodded and followed Cas into the restaurant.
They sat in a booth in the back and waited for the waitress to come over. "Can I get you anything guys?" Dean smiled. "I'll have the double cheeseburger, fries and a large coke please." He looked to Cas.
"I'll just have the chicken caesar salad and a glass of water please." The waitress nodded and walked away.
Dean laughed. "A salad?! Seriously?" "Yes Dean. Some of us prefer to not eat fatty greasy food." "Ooo get you! Well cheeseburgers are the best. Well that and pie."
"Like meat pies?" Dean laughed. "No silly like cherry pies, apple pies and all them other pies. But meat pies are pretty good too."
"So Dean, this is like a date? So I want to get to know you a bit more." "Ugh sure. What do you want to know?" "I don't know. Where are you from?" "Right here in Kansas?" Castiel's eyes widened.
"Really? I've never seen you before." "We moved when I was very young and when Sam was a baby." "Why?" Castiel furrowed his eyebrows. "Something- I- my mum died." "Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't know- I didn't mean to bring it up. Lets just move on?" Dean nodded and gave a weak smile to Cas.
"So Cas, where are you from?" Castiel thought for a moment. "I- erm- I- I'm from a small town, somewhere you wouldn't know but I moved to Kansas about five years ago with Gabriel and Anna."
"Where are your parents?" "Away, working." "Is it just you, Anna and Gabe then?" "Well I have another brother. Lucifer. We don't talk anymore though." "Like the devil?" Dean chuckled. "I err- it's just a name!" "Woah chill out I'm joking. Why don't you talk?" "It's a long story. I'll tell you another time. That's if you want to do this again..."
Dean smiled. "I'd love to."

Dean drove Cas back home after their dinner. This time they talked all the way home rather than just sitting in silence much like the ride there.
They talked about their siblings, the ones they see, and about their childhoods & where they grew up.
They were learning a lot about each other in such a small amount of time.
They arrived at Cas' house and once Dean had pulled up, he turned off the engine. "Thanks Cas." "For what?" "A lovely evening. I've enjoyed myself so much. I almost forgot how to laugh." Cas chuckled.
"Dean it was my pleasure. I hope we do this soon." Dean nodded. "Me too." Dean and Cas stared at each other for a few moments because Cas' lips merged with Dean's.
Things got a little heated when Dean went to unbutton Cas' shirt. Cas stopped him. "Dean it's okay. We don't have to. Thank you for an amazing night." Cas went to open his door but Dean stopped him.
"I know and I want to." "Dean it's fine. This is a first date, I don't want to ruin that. Goodbye. I'll text you." Cas left the car and Dean watched as he walked to his front door, turned around, gave a little wave and headed inside.

Castiel walked inside and was greeted by a very excited Gabriel. "Bro, how did it go? Did he like you? Did you talk? Did you kiss? Did-"
"Gabriel! Slow down! I can't think that fast. It went great, rocky start but everything ended well. I think he likes me. Of course we talked! Well eventually... And maybe..."
Anna stood up. "OMG! You kissed? What the fuck? You can't force yourself onto a straight guy Cas!" "Shut up Anna! He kissed me actually! He wanted it go further but I didn't want to ruin anything we might have."
Anna sat back down and ignored Cas. "Gabriel, I'm going to bed. I'll see you in the morning." "Night Castiel."
Castiel dragged himself up the stairs and got undressed in his bedroom. He put his phone on the bedside table and laid in bed. His phone made a small buzzing sound.
