Chapter 3

I woke up to my phone ringing. I stopped and listened to 'Uptown Girl' by Billy Joel and I finally decided to answer.

"Hello?" I let out groggily.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry to wake you!" I heard Cameron say. I laughed slightly.

"It's okay my alarm was about to go off anyway" I said, he just chuckled.

"Besides you sound hot when you wake up" he said. I could just see that smirk on his face.

"Oh hush I will be ready in and hour and a half" I said. He laughed and said our goodbyes before we hung up. I skipped a shower and I put a red kless's boys shirt on with black capris and my red converse. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and I went downstairs to eat. I heard knocking and I grabbed my stuff to be greeted by Cameron.

"Are you ready?" He asked. I nodded and hopped in his car. It was a quick drive and we hopped out.

"Ready for your first day of work?" I asked. He smiled and grabbed my hand swinging it back and forth.

"Of course" he smiled. I laughed and we walked in. My mom smiled at me and I pulled him to where we keep our stuff.

"Hey Ash catch!" Trevor called to me. I caught the keys he threw.

"Black SUV out front" I nodded and said bye to Cameron as he went to go talk to my dad. I went out and got it. I pulled it in and search the engine for what seemed like forever. I wiped the sweat of my forehead with my arm because my hands were filthy yet again. I sighed and wiped my hands with my rag. I grabbed my extra ponytail and tied up my shirt so my stomach was revealed and it gave me more cool air to cool down. My sweat glistened on my stomach why did today have to be so hot. I sighed and went back up on my tip toes leaning into the car making sure to finish checking everything. I hopped out when I found the problem. I saw Cameron staring at me while he swept. I just laughed and he snapped out of his haze. I just kept laughing and he came over to me.

"Don't judge me your hot when you work" he whispered into my ear brushing his lips slightly on it.

"Tease!" I yelled. He laughed and walked away to go back to sweeping. I grabbed a wrench and started to fix the problem. I sighed and Wake came up to me.

"Lunch break" he said. I smiled and wiped my hands off.

"Thank The Lord it's hot out here!" I exclaimed. He laughed and I followed him up to our room since we were kids and out to the back porch. I sat down and the others were there.

"I saw you and Cameron" Trevor started. I flipped him off then Cam came up to join us. We smiled at him as he sat.

"So what was up with that SUV?" Trevor asked. I sighed.

"The stupid wires under the engine decided to snap and I'm to short to reach over and fix it and then it's to deep in the reach up if I go on the creeper" I sighed.

"Shortie" Trevor breathed. I grabbed my roll and threw it at him.

"Shut up" I said. We all laughed.

"So how's the first day?" I asked Cam. He smiled at me.

"Great" he answered. We soon finished and went back to work. I was on my tippy toes trying to finish the car when the radio blared and yet again Freak was playing. I laughed and hopped out the car wiping my hands on my rag. I was pulled into the dancing. My uncle Matt came up to me and spun me around. I wouldn't dance back though.

"Come on Ashley 16 years of dancing you still got it in you" he said.

"I know but I just I I don't know I mean she's gone she taught me since 2 I feel it's not right without her" I said. He smiled.
