(Cory's POV)
I was a little bit nervous, it being my first day at John David Middle School. My first four classes were so boring, but fifth block wasn't. I chose to sit next to the blonde, because she was pretty and I wanted to get to know her. Just, how do I start a conversation?
(Elizabeth's POV)
Cory:Umm hey, I'm new here my name is Cory.
Cory, huh so that's what his name was. I continued to stare off into space, because I assumed he was talking to somebody else. Why would he talk to me? I'm not popular like he is.
Cory:So what's your name?
Elizabeth:Are you talking to me?
Cory:Yeah, I was actually.
Elizabeth:Oh I'm sorry. Umm hi, I'm Elizabeth. But you can call me Lizzy for short. If you want to of course.
Cory:Okay, Lizzy.
Elizabeth:So, Cory. Where did you move here from.
Cory:Well, my first year of middle school I was at McGregor Middle School, and then the principle there tried to expel me, because he believed I brought a gun to school. So, he called the police and they checked all of my stuff, my bags, my locker, my pockets. Everything. They talked to my parents and friends also, and they never found a gun. That's because I never brought one to school. My mom believed me and she took me out of McGregor and moved me here. Sure, this school has a bit more white people then black, but so far I'm enjoying it here. This is the best part of my day.
Elizabeth:Why did he think you had a gun?
Cory:Some dumb person told him that I brought one and was planning on shooting people in the school.Man I HATE liars.
Elizabeth:Oh My Gosh. Me too.
Cory:Yeah. So what is the rest of your schedule? I have Social Studies, then Math. What about you?
Cory:Same. Social Studies then Math.
Elizabeth:That's cool.
Cory: Yeah. So, are there any teachers or people I should watch out for?
Elizabeth: Aly Sampson, Taylor Williams, and Katy Smith. As for the teachers, I'd just say watch out for Dr.Green, the principle. He's pretty scary sometimes.
Mr.Conaway then stopped our conversation to give our assigned seats. I really hoped Cory would stay next to me.
Mr.Conaway spoke, "Cory, stand in the back of the classroom. James move next to Elizabeth. Elizabeth stay where you are sitting. Victoria move next to James, and Cory I want you next to Victoria."! Ugh! Cory sits next to Victoria. Two seats away from me. I didn't even pay attention to what Mr. Conaway was saying. Something about where all the fire safety stuff was. I don't even know, and I don't even care. Finally, he was done blabbing and it was time for Social Studies, Mrs.Whitfield. In Mrs.Whitfields class once again Cory sat next to me and we continued our conversation from earlier in Mr.Conaway's class.
Cory:So, why do I need to watch out for them?
Elizabeth: Dr.Green, because he is the principle. As for the other girls. It's a long story. But let's just stick with the fact that they are total hoes.
Cory:Well, okay then, that's good to know.
Elizabeth:Yep.
Mrs.Whitfield began talking and we stopped. This time, our seats stayed the same. Our official seats were next to each other in Social Studies. As before, I didn't pay attention. All day the teachers were just going over the same rules as last year that I already knew. So I completely tuned out Mrs.Whitfield. Finally, it was the last block of the day. Advanced Math. Cory once again sat next to me and once again was moved. This time he sits behind me. Mrs.Beasley rambled on as like the other teachers did. After Mrs.Beasley dismissed our class I went to my locker that I probably wasn't going to use that often and headed for the busses. I met Alana at the end of the hallway and we walked to the busses together. I was telling her all about Cory. I guess I was so excited I was taking fast, because half way through she stopped me an told me to breath and start over, but this time slower. We departed after I finished talking. I went to bus 302 and Alana to bus 309. After I got home, I went strait to my room and was so close to screaming my head off in excitement. I had self control and stopped myself. All night all I could think about was what is going to happen at school tomorrow? I hardly fell asleep that night.
