Today was the day Pin would be recruiting 4 new members for her club. She was pretty excited to taste-test what everyone has baked, and hoped that there would be a tough competition. Since it was only two hours before the judging, Pin began to set decorations up for the recruitment. She had a little bow on to indicate that she was the leader of the club. It was bright pink which complimented her red aura. She then started setting up tables and chairs where people could sit, instead of waiting on the floor like last time. Finally, she added a table where she would taste-test everyone's baked goods. She topped it off with a bow much like the one on her pin, and took a seat.
After an one hour, some people started show up. Pin noticed that they were Book, Pillow, and Blocky. She was pretty surprised that Blocky would take part any interest in baking, but was relieved that he might be getting into a new hobby other than his unfunny and annoying pranks. Pin rolled her eyes just by the thought, but quickly brushed it off. She has more important matters to worry about. Pin tried to spark up a conversation with the other three objects sitting in building, breaking the awkward silence.
"So, why are you three here early?" asked Pin. "Pillow and I are only here early just incase we don't forget to come here." Book spoke up. "How about you, Blocky?" said Pin. "I came here because I wanted to show off my awesome baking skills to everyone!" "People might think my only hobby are pranks, but I'm going to show them I have more." responded Blocky. "I see.." replied Pin. A few more moments of silence passed, until two objects came walking through the door. It was Tennis Ball, with Golf ball sitting on top of his head. "Hopefully I'm not too early." said Tennis Ball. "Golf ball insisted that I were to come earlier, so I did." "No, not at all, please take a seat!" said Pin. She pointed to a nearby table, close to door. "Okay great!" cheered Tennis Ball. "Golf ball, did you bring something in too?" asked Pin. "No." replied Golf Ball. "I don't have time for baking, I have plenty more important and interesting inventions to make!" "Then why are you here?" questioned Pin. Golf ball turned her head to the floor. "Just here to support my friend." she replied.
The two little objects took a seat at a table, while Pin did the same. Minutes passed by and many more objects starting rolling into the building. Each holding some type of baked good with them. Eventually, it was 3 pm, which means it was time to finally start judging what everyone has brought in. The room was filled up with plenty of chattering objects, each of them showing each other what they baked overnight. Pin was ready to finally start the event, and started tapping her little glass to grab everyone's attention. Many conversations stopped, and the whole room became silent. Everyone was showing faces of excitement, waiting for what Pin had to say.
"Welcome everyone!" said Pin. "Thank you all for coming and bringing goods for this recruitment." "I can't wait to finally start taste-testing them, they all look so goo-" Before Pin could finish her sentence, she was cut off by a loud slam through the door. It was Leafy, which a very large cake. Everyone turned to Leafy, who attracted quite the crowd by her arrival. "Sorry..am I late?" Leafy asked nervously. "No, not at all!" said Pin. "But may I ask why you brought such a large cake..?" "Well, if anyone wanted to try this cake as well, I can lend some!" replied Leafy. "Oh, how thoughtful of you!" cheered Pin. "Now where should I put this?" asked Leafy. "Er, uhm.." Pin had a bit of trouble finding a spot for such a huge cake, but luckily she spotted just enough space next to her table. "You can put it right next to my table!" said Pin. "Thank you!" Leafy smiled. Once Leafy got set up, Pin was ready to continue her announcement.
"Now as I was saying.." "It's time to start taste-testing your cakes!" "When I call your name, please come forward to my table." Pin grabbed her clipboard and read the first name listed. "Ruby, please come forward!" said Pin. "Coming right up, Pin-Pin!" cheered Ruby. She walked from the crowd and went down to rug holding her cupcake. She placed it on Pin's table and waited for the next step. "Now, what did you bake today?" asked Pin. "I just baked your regular chocolate cupcake, nothing too mind-blowing." replied Ruby. "Nothing wrong with a classic!" Pin giggled. "Oh, I almost forgot!" "In the middle, it has a very special part!" Ruby added. "Oh, cool!" cheered Pin. Pin cut through the middle to taste it, assuming it was white icing. But the moment it touched her mouth, she stopped chewing. She met her eyes with Ruby, who had a big grin on her face. "Did you put mayonnaise in this..?" asked Pin. "Sure did!" replied Ruby. "Doesn't it give the cupcake a nice ring to it?" she said smiling. Pin chuckled awkwardly, spitting the gross cupcake out in the process.
