Basked in the moonlight eclipsing the starry night, light footsteps came behind me.

"Goddess, someone is looking for you."

A soft hum released on my lips, acknowledging the voice, and the figure gradually disappeared. I lounged my back as my gaze remained on the serene view of the dark clouds that covered the whole kingdom below.

The salted scent of the sea wafted in the air paired with the lulling crash of waves where my temple stood high in the grainy sands of the shore.

I poured myself another glass of red wine, welcoming the rare peaceful night.

But it was not long before exactly three presence approached me.

"Greetings to the Holy Goddess of War." Two voices greeted but the pitch that was as deep as the ocean trench was discernible.

I turned and there were two men kneeling, showing a huge contrast in their appearance. One donned in black garments with a clean cut which was a far cry from his look earlier in the arena. It suited his blond arrays and became more appealing while the other still wore the same white clothes from the last time we had seen each other.

My brows furrowed to the youth with jet-black hair but as the atmosphere remained stagnant, the temple servant standing beside them cleared her throat.

"Bring Siege to Lionel and he'll know what to do. Also, inform him that Siege will become my personal guard," I ordered.

He had untapped potential from what I saw and he had an abundant talent in fighting which was the same as having someone entertaining beside me.

The two nodded and took their leave as I returned my attention to the other one.

"You..."

Traveling from Carrion to Hasfor, two kingdoms located on the farthest ends from each other, was already an impossible task to do in five days but to reach only four? Is this what the humans meant by prodigy?

"What's your name again?" I asked.

He looked up with those eyes of his. I was held captive once more by that penetrating stare. For a human to have much effect on me, how disconcerting...

"Raegan Deliora, your holiness."

I placed the wine glass and beckoned to him. "Come here."

He rose but returned to his kneeling posture when he drew close to me.

"Your hand."

It was not every day someone could incite my interest to see their future when there were no tournaments or fights involved. My lips tilted on one corner as I held his hand. Long, ice-cold fingers laid atop mine.

His pulse quickened on my touch as I concentrated and permeated his senses. Our gazes clashed but there were no flashes of scenes nor a slight hint of what would happen to him. There was simply nothing.

One more street before I could reach my destination. I hastened my pace while the brightness of the sun slowly disappeared into nothingness beneath the horizon.

I veered to the left, only to stop when I heard my father's name on a stranger's lips.

This part of town was lined up with cafes and salons. There were outdoor sitting areas and chatters mingled but the stranger's rant still reached my ears.
