It was a snowy night and most people find this time to be the perfect time to be at home with family, spending time with loved ones and drinking hot chocolate. However, things are a little different for Shiro who made a vow to not stop hunting fangire until he found the one responsible for the death of Mirai, his first love.

In an open field somewhere in Japan, a guy was whimpering as he try to run away from someone. His blood dripping down from his sleeves onto the white snow, tainting them red.

“There's no point of running away, you monster,” a voice echoed through the field as someone was walking behind the injured guy while holding an iron pipe. The injured guy stopped on his track and turned to face the mysterious guy, growling as his eyes glowed red.

“You made a mistake,” he smirked and  slowly turn into a monster — one that looked like a spider.

“Don't think you are the only one with a trick under his sleeve,” the Shiro smirked and spread his right arm, “Kivat!” he called out and a bat-like device came flying towards him. Shiro caught it and pointed it towards his left hand, putting his hand under the device's fang.

“BITE!!!” The device rang.

Shiro put the device or better known as Kivat on the kivat belt around his waist and calmly made his way towards the fangire. “Transform.”

After shouting the word, red echoes started to appear in front of Shiro and not long after that, he transformed into Kamen Rider Kiva. “I'm in a good mood, so let's make this quick...” Shiro said and charged towards the fangire, hitting it several times before finally taking one of the Fuestles from his waist.

“WAKE UP!!!”

The fangire couldn't even react to what was happening as he watched Shiro jumping high in the sky before Shiro's feet meet the fangire's face.

“Disappear with the darkness,” Shiro said before taking his feet off the insignia depicting a bat's wings on the ground. The impact of the kick was so strong that the glass body of the fangire immediately shattered.

Shiro left the scene quickly after before transforming back into his human form.

“Good job today, Kivat.” Shiro said to Kivat while smiling softly as he made his way towards his usual place to rest; a small café where there are no fangire to kill.

Though the quiet and peace was Shiro's initial thought, it was ruined when he was welcomed with a couple arguing inside the café.

“I told you, we should investigate that place!” said the girl while glaring at her partner. The guy scratched his head and crossed his arms afterwards, huffing in frustration.

“We've been there three times, Juno! And we always ended up disappointed,” the guy said in return.

“Whatever, Tatsuya... I will go there again later. With or without you,” said Juno before they finally calmed down. Shiro sighed in relief before turning his attention towards the owner of the café, ordering a cup of tea to fight the winter coldness.

“Got any prey today?” the owner whispered to Shiro, making sure no other customers could hear them. The latter nodded and drink his tea before speaking.

“I got one... A police officer,” said Shiro before turning around to look at the couple, Juno and Tatsuya who were eavesdropping to his conversation with the owner. This, of course didn't go unnoticed by Shiro as he immediately addressed the couple's behaviour.

“You guys realized that listening in to other people's conversation is rude, right?”

Tatsuya and Juno immediately looked away from Shiro after being called out before drinking their coffee.

“What about the search for your sister? Did it go well?” asked the owner again, this time more quieter.

Shiro stopped stirring the teaspoon in his cup before sighing. His sister had gone missing for the past 5 years and neither the police nor himself could pinpoint her whereabouts. Because of this, Shiro ended up living alone without the care of his parents or elder sister.

“I'm still searching...” said Shiro while frowning.

“But I promise to find her and avenge the death of my first love,” the topic of sister made Shiro feel optimistic and pumped up but then it stopped after a few seconds — mainly because he realized that he broke the teaspoon he was clenching hard.

Shiro cleared his throat and put the divided teaspoon on the counter before looking at the owner who seems to be unfazed by what just happened.

“I will just put that on your tab...” he said before taking a small notepad out from his apron. Shiro bowed to him, apologizing before getting up from the stool he was sitting on.

“I will be back tomorrow,” he said before leaving the café.
