Maria was a high school girl who loved life. She was a straight A student and won many academic awards. You might think she'd be a nerd, picked on and bullied but you'd be wrong. Maria was actually one of the most popular, sexiest and smartest girls in the school. She was crushed on by boys in all classes. One smile with her perfect, white teeth sent boys into embarrassing blushing mayhem. Teachers adored her as well, her intelligence made the school more popular and well-respected. Although she was classified as perfect, she still enjoyed partying and getting black-out drunk. She prided herself on never having drunk sex with strangers, as many of her friends had. Little did she know, she'd do something far more stupider. Maria was adopted at a young age after her parents died in a horrific fire, sacrificing themselves to save her. Maria had graphic nightmares about them nearly every night, guilt always following her. She tried everything to try hide the nightmares, but they eventually escalated to her screaming and frantically rolling around her bed, dripping in cold sweat. Her adoptive parents would rush in and comfort her, seeing her in such a state worried them tremendously. After a while, Maria decided to try not sleeping as much, thinking nobody would notice. Her deep, purple-black eye bangs finally convinced her parents to bring her to the doctors where they prescribed her with special medication. To Maria's relief, the medication worked miracles and nightmares now turned into sweet dreams of her crush, Jackson. Jackson was the sportiest jock in school, he was tall, blonde with piercing blue eyes. His body was pure muscle but his touch was ever so gentle. His voice quiet and calming. Maria was in love. She gazed at him in wonder, would she even stand a chance with him? Her thoughts were always disrupted by his girlfriend, Ashley. Ashley was the head cheerleader, such a stereotypical relationship. Ashley was a brat, always getting her way, in fact her favorite saying was: "It's my way or the high way". She was the most stubborn,stuck-up girl anyone could find. Her father owned a large company and could financially grant all her wishes. I always felt Jackson was so sweet and kind, how could he date someone like her? Ashley has a crush on Jackson for ages, and everyone knew about it. When she finally confessed her feelings, he already had heard about it. Ashley has a super popular vlog, let's just say, she shares everything on that vlog, literally everything. She has a camera with her at all times. Jackson agreed to date her and it's been a year since. Well actually 11 months and 24 days, but close enough. Maria was hoping they'd break up, realizing they just weren't meant to be together. Unfortunately, Maria's wish hasn't been granted. Jackson brushed back a silky, brown strand of hair from her face and kissed her on the lips. His eyes closed as they both embraced each other. Ashley was pulled in beside him. Both enjoying the kiss, both passionately holding each other tight. Maria sighed a sigh, who was she kidding. They were in love. Jackson pulled back, his time-stopping smile on his face. He has Ashley's bright red lipstick on his lips. Maria had walked to the science lab for chemistry, holding her head low. She met with her two best friends, Rose and Lucy. They sat together and started gossiping about students, but Maria was silent, staring into space. Maria wasn't a "gossip" person. She usually listened in to act interested but today she gave up. The chemistry teacher walked into the classroom with a tall, black haired, pale boy following her. He had his head low and his eyes were hidden behind his fringe. Ms.Goodlin, the chemistry teacher, told him to introduce himself. He silently said his name was Mitch. Some of the boys started sniggering. The girls seemed to already be crushing on him. Maria was back in reality by now but seemed to stay neutral. Ms.Goodlin separated Maria from Lucy and Rose and made the new boy sit beside her. As he hurriedly took a seat beside her, she heard him sigh in relief. She smelt his after shave, it smelt welcoming. She smiled, she decided to try make him feel as welcomed as she could. He smiled happily back, his teeth were as white as they come and his lips as red as blood. His skin was as pale as paper and his hair as black as the night sky. Maria suddenly felt her heart pounding, could she seriously be falling for Mitch? She shook herself and concentrated on chemistry. After around ten minutes she saw Mitch write on a ripped out piece of paper. He slid the paper silently over to Maria, who accepted it in curiosity. The paper read "Hi, you have a really nice smile. As you know my names Mitch, I was wondering if you want to eat lunch with me?" Maria smiled and nodded. He seemed to be pretty happy and they both carried on with our chemistry assignments. At lunch, Maria told Lucy and Rose she was going to eat with Mitch, their eyebrows rose in suspicion. Maria quickly laughed and fled, avoiding a hundred questions. Mitch and Maria sat together in nearly every class and at lunch every day for a few weeks. Eventually, after five months of hanging out Mitch asked Maria to come to his house. He showed her his address and she immediately said no. There were rumors of haunted houses, the most common one was the WoodSpine Mansion, which was Mitch's house. A few days passed and they were at a party. Maria got so drunk, she vomited violently. Mitch, who was sober, cleaned her up and decided to bring her home. He laughed, proud of himself. His plan was working. He drove home, little did poor Maria know, she wasn't going to be allowed leave there. Upon arrival, Mitch fastened a pair of handcuffs to Maria, for "safety" reasons. Maria, too drunk to care, laughed, thinking it was some sort of game allowed Mitch to fasten them. He ever so gently helped her out of his car and dragged her up to the huge oak doors of the mansion. The doors creaked as he opened them. The walls were dark but Maria, even drunk, could see pictures of people on the wall. Huge portraits, with fancy gold frames. Mitch put her into a bed with silky covers and Maria drifted away to sleep. While she was sleeping peacefully, Mitch snuck into the basement. He opened it with a large, swirly key. He cautiously stepped down the stairs and saw the familiar wooden coffins, lined up. He smiled maliciously, each had a name of a different girl. These were all the girls who had ever stepped into his house. He gently took the plastic bags from over the coffins, they were filled with blood. He had stored their blood in many bags. He opened the bag and started to drink. Afterwards, he made his way back up the stairs and made sure to lock the door. He rested until early morning, when he decided to go see Maria. Maria woke up this see Mitch looking at her intensely. She sat up, groaning. She had a terrible headache and felt sick. She started asking questions straight away. She quickly realized she was handcuffed to the bed. She screamed and turned to Mitch, worried. Mitch simply smiled and said that she had tried to escape through the window while drunk, Maria believed his lie and laughed. When he didn't uncuff her, she started to worry. Mitch simply smiled and walked out of the room. Maria was starting to get a little drowsy, so she drifted back to sleep. Meanwhile, Mitch was kneeling in front of one of the portraits. He was talking to it, saying how he was going to make him proud. The portrait was his fathers, who tragically passed by a stake to the heart. Mitch grinned as he left the hall, he was going to make sure he made his father proud..no matter what.
