You were frozen on the spot. Rodrick had taken control of the microphone and was directly addressing you... in front of the entire school.
"Now that I have everyone's attention..." Rodrick began. "I totally have a thing for this chick right here," he said, pointing at you menacingly.
When he said this a spotlight suddenly shone on the crowd and centered in on Band girl.
"EWWWWWW!!" Everyone yelled in perfect unison.
" :( " said Band girl.
"HEY!" You yelled. "Band girl is the most special, most amazing girl I've ever met! She was the only one who bothered to make me feel welcome at this circus you call a school in the first place," you yelled at everyone, the spotlight now pointed at you.
"Excuuuuse me?!?" Greg Heffley suddenly yelled angrily. "I was your first friend! How dare you disregard me like that!" Ugh he was such a sociopath... it's true look it up.
Rowley also ran up to you with his dabulous pink dress swishing all around him. "Leave them alone, Greg. Cant you see that band girl and (Y/n) are perfect together?"
A moment of clarity hit you in the face. "Band girl... I think I love you," you said emotionally, turning to her.
" :0 " she said
" >:( " Rodrick said into the microphone. "NO WAY. I AM NOT LETTING THIS HAPPEN. My minions and I are going to tear the school apart before you two can escape. And (Y/n) will finally be my queen..."
"Uhh queen of what?" Rowley squeaked.
"Queen of prom. And rock and roll. And Löded Diper," Rodrick replied, smiling evilly (as always.)
"DJ. YOU KNOW WHAT TO PLAY..." Rodrick yelled.
Some sad instrumental piano music came on through the speakers and Rodrick began to serenade you.
"Cause tonight will be the night that I will fall for you~ Over again-"
"Girl stfu" Band girl yelled at the stage.
Rodrick made a very angry face and suddenly all the lights turned red.
"Red lights??? OH BOY SMOOCHING TIME," someone in the crowd yelled.
"NO." Rodrick roared. "There will only be one kiss shared at tonight's prom," he stepped off stage and made his way over to you. You were still bathed in the bright light provided by the spotlight and you had to squint to see directly in front of you. Uh... YOU COULDN'T SEE‼️‼️‼️‼️
Suddenly from directly behind you, a voice whispered in your ear, "Boo." (Rodrick is really channeling his inner Wanda rn :0)
