A pool of the student's yellowish ichor bloomed from her corpse. Doctor Theodore Allan came upon the haunted scene, his hand's tremor quickly still. Fungi overspread some of the female's malady.
Death sometimes hath a deeper, torpid glow. Her body's blood radiated unnaturally with that glow. For the doctor, death was novelty, a grim, medical art with a plethora to experiment, explore and to bend to it's whim.
Theodore, although nearly white with inconceivable terror fought the urge to cling at the body and began to carry it. Blood black and horrible, odorous and without yielding immediately grew while he roughly brought her into a carved out, cavernous pit in the middle of the room.
He became a harsh, grating character with no resemblance of human liveliness. Clumps of forms filled the dark threshold. "Life from beyond." Theodore said they were. He discovered the oily, sentient disturbance on his way to the Miskatonic University of Archeology and Science when a few fell from the heavens. Yes, he could remember it was in the accursed month of October; And each separate falling creature brought with it a ghoulish odour. Eagerly they wished for terror; —longingly they had sought to crawl using a forbidden act so awful—abnormal act of human possession— For the repulsive and rancid act whom the Christians dawned possession.
A particle of one fell on his face. Stupefied, the doctor swallowed the creature, feeling it tremble within. He felt a creeping, demon echoing and spreading beyond, mingling with multiple voices of surpassing mystery ringing in his skull.
Some students afterwards, through theories of fancy and fear wondered if the doctor had turned mad. Most ignorant thought it seemed he was becoming eccentric at his wizened elder age. Anni Oxford was one of the ones picked from amid her classmates as a specimen to explore the mystery behind the loathsome, primordial blob.
