Prologue

"Y/n~!" A young boy ran up to the younger me.

He's so familiar to me.

"Y/b are you feeling better today? I have all the notes you missed yesterday." He frantically searched his bag for the notes he'd gotten me, "Thank you, Josuke-kun." I smiled warmly. A smile formed on his lips immediately after, "For you, it's always a pleasure."

Josuke... He meant everything to me and then something tragic happened that broke my heart.

"Y/n..." He wasn't his cheerful self currently. His eyes began to water, "Y/n, for now, this is goodbye." I didn't know how to respond to this, "What?"
"I have to leave Morioh with my parents for a few years, I promise when I come back I'll look for you." I felt a warm sensation run down my cheeks. He reached in his pocket and held up a gold necklace. It had a gold heart with diamonds covering half of the heart, "Wear this everyday, to remember me and my promise." He smiled even though the tears were beginning to fall from his eyes like raindrops, "What if you forget?" I choked, "I won't forget because I bought a ring with a similar heart to that to remind me everyday about you and the promise."

The promise... Josuke... Don't forget your promise. Don't forget about me.
