The Fight

Karkat kicked rocks on his way to school, mumbling to himself as kids laughed at him. He growled at them and told them to piss off before walking inside the school with his backpack slung over his shoulder. He walked to his locker and opened it, setting some books in there as well as an extra binder and some journals. He sighed before jumping back as someone's hand slammed against his locker, closing it. He turned around to see the one and only, Dave Strider. Karkat huffed and glared at him, crossing his arms over his chest. "What the fuck do you want Strider?!" He asked angrily as Dave laughed. "Oh look, Vantas has got his panties in a wad again." Dave said mockingly as a crowd formed around the two. "Answer the damn question." He growled as Dave smirked. "Just wanted to say hello to my little friend Karkat." He teased before Karkat punched him hard in the nose, sending him into another direction but Dave wouldn't leave it alone. He got up and punched Karkat back, making Karkats nose bleed. He quickly wiped it away and snarled before a teenage boy about the same age as Karkat stepped between the two. He had black hair and was wearing a black shirt with blue jeans and black converse. He faced Dave with an intimidating glare which made Dave back off and walk away. The teen turned around and looked at Karkat with a raised eyebrow, having a puzzled look on his face. "You look familiar.." the teen said before approaching a speechless Karkat. "No way..Sollux?!" He asked and quickly hugged the taller teen close to him, sighing in relief as Sollux chuckled. "Oh! iit'2 you KK! How have you been?!" He asked as he pulled out a kleenex and wiped the blood that was trickling down Karkats nose, smiling softly. Karkat held back tears as he looked at Sollux, biting his lip. "I've been..horrible really. Ever since I left that dream and never saw you again there..I've felt like hell and everyone's made fun of me. I missed you, why didn't you ever come back?!" He asked with a frown as Sollux sighed. "Yeah 2orry about that, ii couldn't ever fiind iit 2o ii gave up and 2topped lookiing." He explained with a sincere look on his face. Karkat nodded as the first bell rang, signaling school had started. "I'll see you around, that's the first bell." Karkat said and sluggishly walked off, really not wanting to leave Sollux again but knew he would have to. He smiled slightly for the first time in 12 years, sitting down in the back of the classroom so no one could tease him that much or throw spit wads in his hair. He took out a pencil and sheet of paper as he began to work on the problems on the board before hearing the classroom door creak open.
