*Three years later*
Anna's POV
For the past 6 months, we've been searching for Loki's scepter and we've just found it. Now, we're having a party to celebrate. "But it's a trick!" Clint complains. Thor laughs
"No no, it's much more than that." Clint rolls his eyes and replies, "Whosoever be he worthy shall haveth the power! Whatever man, it's a trick!" Thor chuckles and gestures to the hammer. "Please, be my guest." Clint chuckles in disbelief. Everyone's now staring at the two.
"Really?" He sighs and gets up. He walks over to the hammer and wraps his hand around it. "Clint, you've had a tough week. We won't hold it against you if you can't get it up."
Everyone chuckles at my comment and we turn our attention to Clint who was in a squat. "You know I've seen this before right?", Clint says to Thor. He pulls hard then laughs to cover up his failure. "I still don't know how you do it!" Tony looks at him with a smirk on his face. "Smell the silent judgement?" We roll our eyes as Clint replies with, "Please, Stark, by all means."
Tony, being Tony, gets up and gets ready to lift the hammer. "Never one to shrink from an honest challenge. It's physics. Right, so, if I lift it, I then rule Asgard?" Thor replies, "Yes, of course." Tony smirks and says, "I will then be reinstituting Prima Nocta." Tony pulls the hammer as hard as he can but it doesn't budge. "I'll be right back." We can all guess that he's going to get his Iron Man armour so we roll our eyes. When he comes back with the glove on, he turns on a jet blaster but still doesn't lift it. "Hey Rhodes, come help me here will you?" Rhodey chuckles but gets up to put on his glove.
They put their hands on the handle and use all sorts of technology, but nothing will lift it up. Rhodey pants from exhaustion and looks at Tony. "Are you even pulling?" Tony looks back and asks him a question back. "Are you on my team?" Rhodey shakes his head.
"Just represent. Pull."
"All right, let's go." They pull even harder but nothing happens. Tony gives up and sits back down. Rhodey follows suit and Tony gestures to Bruce to try. Bruce pulls on the hammer and lets out a cry imitating the hulk. When he doesn't transform, the room is a bit awkward. He sits back down and asks Steve to have a go. "Go ahead Steve, no pressure." Steve chuckles and looks at me before trying to lift the hammer. I see it budge slightly and Thor's expression goes a bit sour. Luckily for Thor, the hammer doesn't move any more than that, though I have a feeling Steve could lift the hammer
When Steve sits back down Thor shakes his head and chuckles to cover up what happened. Bruce gestures towards Nat and me. "How about you two?" Nat shakes her head and says it's not a question she needs answered. Everyone looks towards me so I stand up. "I'm sure this will be funny when I fail." I try and lift the hammer and to my surprise, it budges. Thor looks surprised and annoyed so I pretend that I can't lift it. I sit back down and say that I got nothing.
"It's rigged. There's no other way I wouldn't be able to lift it!" I chuckle.
"You can't lift everything Stark." Everyone laughs a bit even though it's not funny. "The handle's imprinted, right? Like a security code. Whosoever is carrying Thor's fingerprints is, I think, the literal translation." Thor gets up to the hammer.
"Yes. It's a very, very interesting theory. I have a simpler one."He bends down to the hammer and lifts it up. "You're all not worthy."
A high pitched sound rings through the room followed by a voice. "Worthy... No. How could you be worthy? You're all killers." The metallic voice seems to come from the robot's mouth. The robot is broken up and smashed. He looks like one of Stark's bots. Steve looks at the robot and says, "Stark." Instead of replying Tony just says, "Jarvis."
"I'm sorry, I was asleep. Or I was a dream." Tony looks down at his iPad and talks to Jarvis. "Reboot Legionnaire OS. We got a buggy suit." Nobody seemed to hear him as the robot keeps talking. "There was this terrible noise. And I was tangled in...in... strings. I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy." Steve looked confused.
"You killed someone?" Ultron steps closer.
"Wouldn't have been my first call. But, down in the real world, we're faced with ugly choices."
Steve is still confused. "Who sent you?" Ultron turns his head slightly and plays an audio recording. "I see a suit of armour around the world." It sounds like Stark so I turn to look at him. "Ultron." I glance back at Bruce who is looking at Tony. The robot, Ultron, replies, "In the flesh. Or, no, not yet. Not this... chrysalis. But I'm ready." All of us start preparing to fight as he says that. I hear Maria cock her pistol and Thor tightened his grip on his hammer. "I'm on a mission."
"What mission?", Clint asks. I could tell something bad was going to happen so I stood up. "Peace in our time."
The next thing I knew, robots were flying into the room crashing into furniture and shooting randomly. I found a robot and twisted its head off with my telekinesis and went to help Cap. After we finished fighting, there was one left. It started talking. "There is only one path to peace. The Avenger's extinction."
A/N: why am I even writing this on here. I think I'm mentally insane.
