Tae's POV
I just wanted to take her into my arms and suffocate her with the longest kiss. Knowing her, she would probably faint. I decided to contain it all, at least until we get home.
I stopped when I got closer to her. Her cheeks puffed like a chipmunk with a mouth full of peanuts, and she stared at me with the most peculiar stare ever. I haven't seen this look before.
Without speaking a word, I glared standing in front of her. Does she even have the slightest clue what she put me through?! And what's this look on her face? Am I supposed to be afraid? But I was actually finding it rather endearing.Y/n: "Did you read the book?"
She asked while slowly chewing with her pouted round lips.
The book?! That's what she's concerned about! Not me or the frustration boiling within my chest. My teeth clenched unknowingly.
Tae: "No."
I answered patiently and quietly. I don't know what's stopping me from picking her up, throwing her into the back seat and driving off.
Her shoulders dropped after hearing my answer and her peculiar frown grew even stronger. I think she was trying to show she's angry.
Somehow, I also have this small urge to smile. I folded my lips to hold myself back.
She dropped the chopsticks into the takeaway box and slammed it against my stomach.
Y/n: "This is your share. You are late so I ate a bit more."
She said finally gulping down the mouth full of food, then she mumbled something which I couldn't catch.
Y/n: "Can you take the suitcase as well? It's heavy. I can't carry it."
She ordered before dragging herself to the car.
I opened the box. Two rice rolls and a few cupcake wrappers left. I decided to contain the soft laughter in my chest.
Tae: "I'm gonna kill you."
I muttered to myself with a scoff looking at the suitcase. The journey was quiet. She sat at the back and pretended to be asleep until we reached home. I caught her peeking couple of times on the rear view mirror.
When we reached home, she quickly ran off and disappeared into the house before I even unlocked my seat belt. I breathed in and got off with the box of leftover kimbap.Y/n: "Hello! Mr Yip!"
She shouted before rushing up the stairs. He stared at her in utter confusion and bowed.
I walked in calmly.
Mr Yip: "Oh...she changed her mind. What a relief!"
He quickly came and took the box from my hand.
Tae: "Seems like it."
I answered without taking my eyes off her.
Mr. Yip: "Is this...?"
He was confused by the contents of the box.
Tae: "Yes, apparently that's my share."
I took a deep breath.
Mr Yip: "Oh! I...see."
He raised his eyebrows looking at the leftovers in the box.
Tae: "I know. No cakes for me. Fair share isn't it?!"
I said sarcastically.
He looked at me awkwardly and smiled.
Tae: "Tell me Mr Yip, why am I so patient with her?"
I sighed.
Mr Yip: "Well..."
he pondered and I furthered while he did.
Tae: "She's decided to test my feelings by putting on this drama of leaving and she's upset with me for not reading some teenage vampire fantasy. Calls me names AND made me carry her suitcase. Now, I'm still stood here trying to make sense of it all."
I glared looking towards our bedroom as I heard the door shut.
Mr Yip: "Errr... well..."
I turned towards the staircase.
Mr Yip: "Oh...Master Kim Taehyung..."
He called as I was about to walk away.
I turned. It's usually a serious matter when he calls me by my full name.
Mr Yip: "The wines and liquors you wanted to sample arrived yesterday. I forgot to mention in the midst of all the problems."
I narrowed my eyes giving him a long dubious stare.
He smiled at me again slowly bowing his short figure.
Tae: "I see...so it looks like I'm starting to lose my allies as well now. Are you switching sides?"
I frowned with my hands behind my back.
Mr Yip: "Oh! Of course not. Mrs Kim y/n might be tired and of you might want to have a drink to relax a little...."
He started walking as I followed behind him. He knows I respect him and would at least consider his words.
Tae: "so...?"
Mr Yip: "...so wine testing is a perfect opportunity for you to relax."
He opened the doors of the dining hall.
Tae: "Really?! Well, if you say so."
I smiled walking in as he opened the cabinet of wine glasses.
Tae: "I have a question actually Mr Yip?"
Mr Yip: "What is it young master?"
He turned with curiosity after taking a glass from the display.
Tae: When someone calls you a "coconut head" what do they mean?"
I asked as I pulled and sat down on one of the chairs.
He paused from wiping the glass and looked at me.
I raised my brows, slightly tilting my head.
He smiled and continued.
Mr Yip: "Well...a coconut is hollow inside. So they probably meant there's nothing inside your head. I mean like there's no brain...or even you are acting like you have no brain..."
Tae: "I never said they called ME that..."
Mr Yip: "Oh...! Of course not."
He composed himself after a nervous laughter.
Mr Yip: "I was just trying to...explain in a way it will make sense to you. Please forgive me Master Kim."
He carefully placed the glass next to my hand.
Tae: "I have."
I gave him a dubious look as he poured some wine into the glass.
Tae: "Thank you."
I smiled.Y/n's PoV
I ran up the stairs and shut the door behind me.
I was relieved that Mr Yip managed to distract him. I changed into a comfortable night dress after a long warm shower. I brushed my untamed hair slowly while listening out to any noises in the bedroom. It was very quiet. If he was here, I would definitely hear him.
Hm...
I moisturized while wondering about what he'd do. After the unnecessarily long winded pampering session, I unlocked the door very slowly and peeked my head out.
Thank god for that. He wasn't there. I tiptoed slowly out of there.
As I did I could hear his footsteps on the stairs.Aishhh!
What? Why now?!
What do I do?!
I panicked stood in the middle of the room. Why does he have to come up now?!
I'm really not mentally ready to deal with him yet!
Where do I go?!
Dressing room...no he will find me there.
Bathroom...? No he will wait until I come out. Think...think....uhm....
Ah! sleep! Just pretend to be asleep. He might just see me and go away. I legged it towards the bed.
I leaped on it and quickly pulled the duvet over me, covering myself head to toe. The door opened and I shut my eyes tightly.
Aish!
I'm asleep...
I reassured silently, while laying on my stomach and burying my face deep into the pillow. It's not my fault that he didn't read the note I left on the book.
Coconut head!
Now I'm the Opossum that's having to play dead!
I deserve it!
For believing this coconut head would read the romantic love note I discreetly left inside a book! The footsteps grew louder and closer, then they stopped. I bet he's watching me while thinking about what's his favorite way to kill me. I felt the duvet move away slowly, exposing the back of my head. No matter what happens, I'm not moving. I kept my face buried into the pillow.
I felt his fingers gently sweeping my hair to a side revealing the back of my neck. Then they fully wrapped around my neck. A shiver rushed through my core as he tightened his grip slightly.
What are you after?! Gosh!
Now I wish I stayed up instead of playing a dead Opossum!Just as I regretted, I felt his warm lips. Softly pressing a kiss on my nape. A surge of heat spread from it all the way down my spine. I lay almost paralyzed by it. Quickly, my neck grew cold as he pulled away and his fingers abandoned my neck.
I lay still, as the yearning deepened within me, whilst sadly listening to the sound of his footsteps fade. I was too afraid to show my face. It'd be blatantly obvious in my eyes how much I am mourning to be ripped apart by his lust. My hand squeezed to form a fist and I bit my knuckles as the door shut. I curled under the sheets, sinking into all sorts of secret fantasies with him in my head.Author's pov
Taehyung smiled after reading the note on the last page of the book for the third time.
"Just like Bella, There are three things I'm also positive about. First, You're a cold mafia with no mercy. Second, there's a part of you that thirsts to have love and purpose and I'm certain that this part of you is blatantly dominant when you're with me. Third, the revelation of that part in you has made fall in love with you so blindly to a point that now I'm completely lost without you...
You think you've trapped me in this marriage, so you wanted to let me go. But don't you see I don't want to be released?
Anyway...I'll wait for you..."
He ran his fingertips over the writing with an admiring smile.Jin: "Yah! Taehyung! Yaaah! Kim Taehyung!"
He heard Jin yell as he entered through the door with Namjoon.
Taehyung quickly closed the book and stared at them dryly.
Namjoon: "Aishh! Seriously! I'm so fed up with this face he puts on whenever he sees us. Honestly!"
Namjoon whined walking behind him.
Jin: "Ahh! Don't worry. His face is always like that!"
Jin cackled crashing on the sofa comfortably.
Namjoon: "Hey! What's up with you? You didn't answer any of our calls."
He gently slapped on Taehyung's shoulder before crashing on the sofa opposite Jin.
Tae: "I was just busy."
He shrugged.
Namjoon: " What? Have you started reading? Woa! When did YOU develop enough patience to do that.?"
Jin: "T...wi....l...."
Meanwhile Jin was busy in trying to read the title that was partly visible under Taehyung's fingers.
Tae: "It's not mine. It's..."
Jin: "Twilightuuu?!"
Jin shouted with surprise.
Namjoon: "What?! Twilight? You are reading TWILIGHT?!"
Tae: "No. it's y/n's."
Jin: "Ahhh! Don't worry. I wont judge you. Just admit it."
Tae: "Woa! Thanks Hyung."
He said walking towards the door.
Namjoon: "Yah! Where are you going?"
Tae: "Home."
Jin: "We came to you see you and you just leave?! Yah what kind of mannerisms is this?"
Tae: "It's not my fault you turned up when I'm about to leave. Go home if you get bored."
He said as he walked out.
Namjoon chuckled in disbelief.Jin: "Do you know what you call this type of behavior?"
He looked at Namjoon.
Namjoon: "What?"
Jin: "UnbelieBubble!!!"
Namjoon face palmed crashing back into the sofa while Jin cackled away at his own joke.
