After parking the car, Mzamo walked back into the hospital, already feeling bad about being rude.

He first walked to the reception to sign Kholwa in. She already had a folder in the hospital, so it did not take long. After he filled in the forms, he was directed to where she was. The directions were unnecessary. He already knew the corridors well. He slowly walked through them, the lights seeming to get dimmer and the walls getting smaller the more he walked.

He wanted to see Kholwa, but he knew, that like every other time, he'd have to hold the tears in. She had it worse than he ever could. He had even grown accustomed to holding his emotions back, and he will carry on until their final moment together.

He will hold everything back.

He will...at least try.

He saw August sitting in distress in the waiting area. He sat down next to him.

"August," he softly said. August looked up at him. "I'm sorry. I was stressed out. That is all."

"It's fine. I was also out of line. Sorry."

They were silent for a while.

"Will she be okay?" August asked, begging that Mzamo would give him a better answer.

"Yeah," Mzamo rubbed his hands together, "she'll be fine."

August nodded. So long as her closest friend said so, he will just have to believe what he is told.

The doctor, her doctor, walked out and Mzamo stood up. August followed suit. Mzamo looked at him.

"Stay here," he said and then walked away.

August did as told, although not happily. He wanted to be by her side, Kholwa. He wanted her to know that he there for her. They had gone through too much together for him to just give up because she was sick.

He'll be by her side until she gets better. He'll show her. He'll show Mzamo too since he didn't want him to know anything.

Mzamo followed the doctor, to her room. He was nervous.

"She's not getting worse." The doctor said. "Her health is not deteriorating as quickly as before either."

"Does that mean she's getting better?"

The doctor was silent for a while. "She's not getting better. She's just the same, and that's a good thing for now."

"For now," Mzamo repeated. "For now."
