Prologue: Flying Fishes

I was driving to my new home. UK. After my father had died my mom decided to leave and start new, I hope that was a good idea. Throughout my life in New York I've been described as 'that fat guy' or 'the fat guy who thinks he's funny'. I think New York is a bad place for me, but I really haven't been all around NY to say that. I feel like life in UK would not be different, I'd still be called fat Gabriel.

"What are you thinking about Gabriel?" My mom asked. "I feel like the place may not be different from NY." There was no need to lie to her, she could read me anyway. "If you ever feel too uncomfortable, let me know, but I think you should stay a while here to see how you feel about Norwich." She was right, I don't know a thing about UK.

......

We finally got to a little empty house in a tiny unknown place called Lake Breeze. This new place is the place I will have to call home. I was glad the place was small because big houses overwhelm me.

I looked around and the place was not as loud as NY. I expected this place to be a rush but then again I know nothing about here. That's because I'd only search around the internet for places people don't usually go to. Maybe a part of Norwich very busy but this tiny place is just unknown.

As I was help my mom put the boxes inside a house that I'm going to be living in - which I'm not ready to call home - I saw three people come out of a house beside us. We were the last house, there wasn't a house after us. There was a boy who was probably my age and a probably married couple.

"Hi, my name's Crystal Collins, this is my husband George and my son, Caleb. We have a daughter she'll be here soon." Mrs Collins said. "I'm Natasha Knight and my son, Gabriel." She told them. I just waved at them and started grabbing the boxes, Caleb and his dad helped while Mrs Collins talked to mum.

"Caleb, why don't you show Gabriel around and when you get back, we can all have dinner together." Mrs Collins said. "Sure." I didn't want to be rude so I agreed.

A very awkward tour and dinner later. I was in my room on a floor bed making research on the school I'd be starting tomorrow.

'Coast High'.

In the pictures everything looked blissful but I know it's really a place with judgmental people who don't give a flying fish about your feelings. I know it's just going to be like my old school.
