Audrey and Grace Kanyemba, twin orphan sisters born in the 1990s at the beginning of the Burundian civil war. They were born from the Batwa tribe, their clan... unknown. The girls never knew what happened to their parents but many rumors around the village claimed that they were killed in the night by some Hutu men. This was a troubling time for Burundi. Many families were being pulled apart and never seen again. Every tribe was hunting for another- Batwa, Hutu, and Tutsi. Everyone was looking for safety but unsure where to put their trust.
