Feelings?

~Graser's pov~
After about 15 minutes of teaching her the keys and how everything worked I put it on hard mode and started her own survival world. She struggled a bit, but I noticed she was catching on. "wow you're a fast learner most people can't really play and watch the screen with out looking at the keyboard a lot." She smiled "it's probably because I have good hand-eye coordination, from softball you know?"
"Oh that's right huh you play softball. you any good?"
She laughed "they wouldn't fly me to Canada and pay for my apartment for a whole season if I wasn't good." She smirked at me.
"Oh cocky aren't we? How about I judge if you're any good by watching you play."

~Maggie's pov~
He wants to watch me play. Oh God what if I have a bad day today and mess up a lot. I looked at him in the eyes and said "free from 5:00-9:00?"
"Uhhhh yeah I guess" he smirked
"Ok well that's when my practice is today" I got up and collected my things "we're leaving now? It's only 4:00!" I smirked at him and said "I'm not going to practice in this, I have to change into my gear, besides my coach always says;
If you're early you're on time if your on time you're late....
SO LETS GOOOOO."
"Okay okay let me grab my jacket."
I laughed and started walking, he yelled "hey psycho its -3 and you're walking to your apartment?"
"Yessss...?"
"Fuck that it's too cold. Get in the car I ain't walking" he laughed.
"So where are we headed?" I told him where to go and what the address is. We arrived at my apartment. "This is where your apartment is?" he said with a shocked expression. "yeah, why?"
"Uhh because it's kinda a bad neighborhood. you've just been walking around all by yourself around here?" I thought for a second "Yes"
"Not anymore, I'll drive you home from now on, the last thing I want is for you to get hurt or for someone to grab you in the middle of the night." suddenly I was scared to be here alone and glad I was here with him. I leaned into his arms "thanks Gras-Zach, that's really sweet of you" he hugged me back and said "it's no problem Maggie I just don't want anything bad to happen to you" I smiled at him and then grabbed my keys. "come one lets go inside." I grabbed his hand and dragged him into my apartment through the snow. I unlock it and say "well this is home for now, make yourself comfortable while I get changed"

~Graser's pov~
I looked around the apartment and it's wasn't that bad from the inside the outside looked a little rough though. It kinda worries me knowing where she's staying ALONE, what if someone comes and rapes her while she's getting home late or something. I do care about her wether she feels the same for me. I'm just trying to help her. I mean I just met her but I really feel a connection between us. After about 15 minutes later she walks out of her room and slipping on socks, orange socks, navy blue pants, and an orange shirt that says "Titans softball". She had put her hair in a high ponytail and a bow in her hair. she looked really cute. I asked "Titan softball? What school is that?"
"Cal state Fullerton" she replied. "I've never been to California, is it nice?"
"Uh yeah I guess, the only thing I dread is the 91 freeway" I didn't know what was so bad about it.
I turned my head and looked confused "what's wrong with the 91 freeway?" She looked at me like I was stupid.
"Bumper to bumper from 6-10am and then traffic all day just for it to be bumper to bumper from 5-7... It's HORRIBLE"
"Jeez that's sounds like a great time!" I said sarcastically.
She just rolled her eyes and I laughed. She picked up her bag which had her bat on the side. she looked really cute with her sandals and all. She walks in front of me out the door. "that bag makes you look like a turtle" i snickered. "oh shut up" she said laughing. that laugh is so cute! Ahhh. ok Graser get yourself together. We get in the car and I see her get out her phone and call someone "hey Julie my new friend is giving me a ride so don't bother swinging by......alright see you there. bye."
"Julie your teammate?"
"No she's my lesbian lover" I looked at her she looked serious. "r-really?" She busted out laughing "of course not! Haha! Yes she's my teammate. some of the girls got cars so we could all car pool you know?" I just laughed and was a little embarrassed, I started to blush and said "oh.." she laughed and then told me to turn left in about 5 miles. so we kept driving in silence. I turned on the radio and she started to sing... such a beautiful voice. I turn down the music while she was singing and said "woah woah woah.. you play softball, you're gorgeous, you can play Minecraft, AND you can sing. you are starting to seem pretty perfect." she started blushing and then I realized what I just said. Then I started blushing and said "s-sorry i-i just um-"
"You think I'm gorgeous?" She said while tucking some hair behind her ear and looking down. I could tell she was trying not to smile. "Yeah look at you, you're fit and have beautiful eyes, your smile lights up the world.. my world.. and your hair is just on point" she giggled at that. I continued "you have an amazing personality Maggie, you just give off this amazing vibe." She was just smiling and playing with her fingers. She sat there with her mouth open trying to find words to say."
"I-I don't know what to say Zach" I could see the tears in her eyes start to build up. "I'm sorry don't cry! Now I feel bad."
"No I'm fine I just- no one has told me something like that in a long time, and thank you so much for saying all of those nice things... I know this sounds weird but I've really felt this connection between us like we were instantly friends."
Friend-zoned. Damn.
I laid my hand on one of hers with my other on the wheel and gave it a squeeze. "me too Maggie." we smiled at each other. Finally we arrived at the softball fields. All I saw was a bunch of orange and navy blue. "Woah, you guys are kinda intimidating." She laughed wiping the tears and looking in the mirror "we are pretty badass...alright let's go."
We got out of the car and all the faces turned to me, I didn't know what to do so I just walked behind Maggie looking down. I could hear them talking about me. I felt kinda scared to be honest. Maggie practically ran to them.

~Maggie's pov~
They were looking at Zach oddly like we were dating. I ran to them and whispered. "We aren't dating, he's just a friend. Fucking chill guys."
They all nodded their and started talking about something totally different. Zach finally made his way to us I introduced him "Ladies this is Zach he's here to watch me play. we made a bet." they all greeted him with smiles and hey Zach or what's up man. he smiled.
During warm ups I throw with Julie. She asks "so who's that Zach guy?" I smiled. "He's just a guy I met. I was taking care of his cat because it was lost and I found it and returned it. Anyways he's really sweet and I don't know how I feel about him. I'm trying to impress him here. So spread the word and ask them to tone themselves down tonight to make me look better but I want us all to still look beast. I know I'm not that great since my Achilles ruptured. So help me out?" She winks at me "no problem Maggs." That's what they call me. Julie whispered and the word spread. And the whole practice I looked like a fucking boss! I've never felt that good about myself and I have my girls to thank for that. A huge smile on my face by the end of practice and go up to Zach he was shivering because his jacket wasn't thick enough to keep him warm. I laughed and said "who's cold now eh? I would hug you but I'm super sweaty." He looked up at me and said "I don't care it's fucking cold" and grabbed me and hugged me while he was still sitting down. I rubbed his back and I could hear him enjoying the heat my body was giving off. I grabbed his face with my hot hands and he was ice cold I said "awww haha I'll be right back my coach wants to talk to me." While pulling away I could tell he didn't want to let me go.
"O-oka-ay" I ran over to my coach. "What's up coach?"
"Listen I heard you asked the girls to lower their game so you could step up yours. Now I understand why you did that" she said while looking at Zach. "so you owe me 2 laps. "Yes coach, sorry it won't happen again."
"it's alright sweetie just do those laps and then get home and rest that Achilles I know working this hard on it doesn't feel good after it. But I'm glad to see you're up an running after the surgery" she smacked my butt as an indication to get my ass moving. As I was running I was in pain but I was thinking about what Zach said earlier it made me smile, and I wasn't sure how I felt about him but I knew I wanted him in my life. I finished my laps and grabbed all my gear and walked to Zach and said "come on let's go. I'm tired." I practically had to pry him off the bleachers. And we walked to his car I rubbed his back to get him warm. We got in the car and I said " you might want to roll down the windows, I smell." he looked at me and said "what no! I'm freezing I don't give a shit if you smell." I smiled and said "ok what ever you say boss. On the way home I found myself falling asleep, struggling to stay awake, and then I just knocked out.
