Luca's POV:

Luca laid awake in his bed looking up at the ceiling which was covered in multicolored fish painted by Giulia's mom. At the time it was about 6 am in the morning and usually he would wake up with his alarm clock which was set for 6:30 am, but he had woken up early and didn't feel like going back to sleep.

It had already been three months since he left home and started going to school with Giulia and it's almost been the best time of his life. He gets to learn about stuff like space, gravity, and even the ocean! He grew up in the ocean and is still learning something new about it daily! Who wouldn't like school?

But school isn't the only thing that changed. This is the first time Luca has spent living away from his parents. (With their permission that is). He couldn't believe that his parents let him go to school. Well, they know he is perfectly safe staying with Giulia and her mom, but this was still a surprise. A good surprise of course! And it was all thanks to Alberto.

Oh Alberto...

Thoughts of Alberto hit Luca like a running train. What did he do yesterday? What will he do today? Does he miss me? Does he ever even think about me anymore or has he already found another best friend to be spending his days with?!? Wait- no- Alberto would never just forget me like that!

"Silêncio Bruno. Silêncio Bruno. Silêncio Bruno," Luca quietly whispered to himself.
What was he thinking? Ever since he left home he has been getting paranoid about Alberto forgetting about him or not wanting to be his friend even though they write and call every day.

There's nothing weird with being a little obsessive over your best friend, right?. Besides it's not like Luca thinks about Alberto every second of every minute of every day! No, of course not. That would be ridiculous. It's not like there's too much to think about anyway, just Alberto's majestic green eyes and beautiful tan skin and how he looks when he gets to do something dangerously fun or when he-

Luca's thoughts were rudely interrupted by his alarm clock. He reached over to stop the loud, annoying noise from making his ears bleed. Only when he actually looked at the clock did Luca fully realize what the time was. It's already 6:30? Hm, weird.

And with that Luca started to get ready for the day. The hopefully very "thoughts about your best friend leaving you" free day.
