Aerrow: The Epic Of Mandalore

XXI

After receiving the distress signal, Aerrow and the Storm Hawks made their way to Terra Gale. As the Condor landed in Terra Gale, they saw the lifeless bodies of Corvo's Commandos scattered near the old windmill.

Piper: Corvo's Commandos....

Finn: Do you think.....

Aerrow: Be on your guard. 

Aerrow led the Storm Hawks out of the Condor and near the ruins of the windmill. As they searched for Corvo, Aerrow spotted his helmet. He walked over to the helmet and picked it up. 

Aerrow: This...this was Corvo's. He wouldn't leave it. 

Piper: Something's not right....

Before Piper could finish her sentence, a large squadron of Talons sprang from their hiding spots and surrounded the Storm Hawks. The Storm Hawks readied their weapons as Ravess and Snipe made appeared.

Snipe: Are these all that's left of the Marauders? I'm disappointed! 

Aerrow: Where is Corvo, Cyclonian?!

Ravess: Indisposed at the moment. We have him to thank for leading us to you, Aerrow. 

Upon hearing this, the Storm Hawks were shocked. Aerrow refused to believe that someone he knew for so long would betray them. 

Aerrow: You're lying! Corvo would never betray us!

Ravess: Breaking him was far too easy, little Marauder. Dark Ace sends his regards. 

Aerrow: And why doesn't he show his face? Is he truly afraid of me that he sends his lackeys to do his bidding?

Snipe: Ha! Don't flatter yourself, Marauder! Dark Ace is busy wiping out what remains of the Sky Knights! He was very specific about bringing you alive!

In that moment, Aerrow knew that he was the primary target of this attack. He turns his attention to the Storm Hawks who awaited his command.

Aerrow: Storm Hawks! Prepare for battle!

In an instant, an intense battle erupted between the Storm Hawks and the Cyclonian Talons under the leadership of Ravess and Snipe. Despite being outnumbered, the Storm Hawks held their own against the Cyclonians. Meanwhile inside the windmill, Corvo slowly recovered from his torture. When he woke up, he found himself locked in a cage wearing nothing but tattered clothing. He could hear the sound of battle outside the windmill. Remembering what he had done, guilt came over him. 

Corvo: Aerrow...what have I done?

Corvo looked around to see that the doors to his cell were fragile. Summoning his strength, he broke down the cell door. Once he was freed, Corvo searched the building for anything he could use to help Aerrow. All he found were his blaster pistol and a Mandalorian horn. Meanwhile, the Storm Hawks made their stand against the Cyclonians. 

Snipe: Stop fooling around and kill these Marauders already!

Ravess: Don't kill the leader! 

As the Talons closed in on the Storm Hawks, the loud and bellowing sound was heard blowing in the wind. 

Junko: What was that?!

Piper: That's...that's a Mandalorian war horn! 

Aerrow: Corvo....

As the sound of the Mandalorian horn echoed across Terra Gale, Aerrow splits up from the Storm Hawks and goes after Corvo. As Aerrow does this, Ravess speaks with her brother. 

Ravess: Snipe! Wipe out these Marauders! I'm going after the leader and the prisoner!

Snipe: With pleasure!

As Aerrow and Ravess converged on Corvo's location, Corvo began fighting his way through the Cyclonians in an attempt to reach Aerrow. As he makes his stand, Ravess converges on Corvo's location. Taking up a vantage point on a nearby hill. She watched as the unarmored Corvo fought against the Talons. With a sadistic smile, she readies her bow and arrow. She then fires an arrow which hits Corvo in the chest. Initially taken aback by the pain, Corvo summoned the strength to keep on fighting. Ravess fired arrow after arrow at Corvo, but the Mandalorian refused to die so easily. Eventually, Corvo fell to his knees as he looked upon the hill where Ravess was. He watched as Ravess prepared to fire the final shot. Suddenly, Aerrow arrives and tackles her, sending them both over the hill. As Aerrow and Ravess got to their feet, Aerrow lunged at Ravess and attacked her with his Twin Energy Blades. 

Aerrow: Your treachery ends now!

Ravess: How amusing! Even after knowing that this Marauder betrayed you, you still are eager to defend him?!

Aerrow: He is my brother!

Aerrow and Ravess soon engaged in a brutal fight. Ravess attempts to fire several shots at Aerrow, but Aerrow gains the upper hand and destroys Ravess's bow. He then follows through by impaling Ravess in the chest with his Energy Blades, killing her. After killing Ravess, Aerrow rushed to the dying Corvo.

Corvo: A...Aerrow...I'm sorry....

Aerrow: It'll be all right, Corvo. We'll get you help. You're going to be....

Corvo: No. It's...it's too late for me. I....I told them who you were. I failed....

Aerrow: No, Corvo. You fought bravely. You kept your honor. 

Corvo: Because of what I've done...Clan Ordo...shall fall. Our way of life....gone....

Aerrow: I don't know what strength I have left in me. But I promise you that I will not Clan Ordo fall. Nor our people fail. 

Corvo: Our people....our people.....

The dying Corvo gripped Aerrow's arm. In that moment, the rift that had grown between Aerrow and Corvo was gone as he embraced Aerrow in his dying moments. 

Corvo: I would've followed you to the very end, my brother, my captain, Mandalore.......

As Corvo spoke his final words, he died in Aerrow's arms. 

Aerrow: Find peace, son of Mandalore.....

With the death of Corvo, Aerrow had lost a close brother. Aerrow took comfort knowing that Corvo died as a Mandalorian. But the battle on Terra Gale was far from over.
