Chaper 5 - Friends and School

Elaine's pov:

Me and Elizabeth walked together to the big assebly hall. As we started to search for empty places, I heard someone calling on us.

"Ellie, Lizzie" the voice said. (Ellie is Elaine's nickname)

I turned around only to see Brie, my bestfriend.

"Hey!" I said as she and some other girl came over to us.

Brie gave me flashed me a smile and then started talking to Lizzie. She had always been an more out-going and social person than me. Brie could start a conversation with anyone, and I mean anyone. It didn't take long until the three of us heard someone shouting at us.

I recognised the face as Scarlett. The only thing I knew about her that she had a twin brother, Hunter. Me myself didn't know Scarlett but Brie and Lizze seemed to. So I just followed them over.

She had managed to get some seats for us.

"Hey, I don't think we have talked before! Im Scarlett" she said with a smile.

"Hey, Im Elaine" I told her.

Just as we were about to start our conversation a man walked up on the small stage.

"Well I hope we can be friends" she whisperd as the man started speaking.

"Hello Ladies, Gentlemen and nonbinary friends, Im Jonathan Walker also known as the principal here on River Valley School. I am just here to welcome everyone and remind you to take your schedule. You can either find it on the internet or by the desks you'll be passing on your way out." The man started.

He just continued with his speech but I stopped paying attention.

Brie was looking at me then looked at my phone that was on my lap.

I looked at the screen just to see a new message.

Brie
Hey, I have news

Ellie
What?????!!?!?!?

Brie
Soo I was talking to this girl during summer break. And I might have got a girlfriend!

Ellie
BITCH, WHOOOO?!??!?!

Tessa, Tessa Thompson.

Ellie
OMG YES FINALLYYYY

Lizzie's pov:

I nudged Elaine's shoulder, we got up and started heading for lunch. As we got our food we scanned the cafeteria for a table. After our eyes had searched trough most of the tables, including the one my sisters sat at. We finally spotted Brie and Scarlett. My feet move over to them as I dragged Elaine after me.

"I need to learn more about you!" Scarlett said as fast as we could hear her.

"Well like I said my name is Elaine, Im 17, I live with my aunts and my cousin. I also use she/they pronounce"

"Okay cool, Im also 17, I have a twin brother, I have a boyfriend named Chris and I use she/her pronounce" Scar replied to Elaine.

"I have some tea to spill" Elaine said after a while which caught all of my attention.

Did she get a girlfriend? Is she seeing anyone? Do they have a date?

"Sooo... someone of us got a girlfriend" they said with a smirk.

My heart stopped.

"Wanna speak up Brie or should I be the one to tell them"

"Ohh yes, her name is Tessa Thompson. Our age. Hot" Brie spoke up.

I let out a small un noticed sigh of relief.

The four of us ate up our food while Brie rambled on about Tessa, and then headed to class.

Elaine's pov:

After our last class finally ended we walked to our lockers. Leaving all the supplies we had gotten for this term. My locker was next to Scarlett's. A bit down the corridor on the other side was Lizzie's and Brie's.

I got the keys to my motorcycle and was ready to leave. Me and Lizzie walked over to the bike. I helped her with the helmet and to get onto the motorbike.

As we drifted away I sped up a bit. This made Lizzie tighten her grep around my waist. Let me tell you, this made the butterflied in my stomach go crazy mode. I defenentely liked her more than a friend. I mean who couldn't she is hot and pretty. Everything about her screams my new girlfriend ;).
