---------------------Chapter Start---------------------------------------------

"Hm, Exams huh? Eh, studying isn't my strong suit.." I remember saying. Midoriya had offered to help me out and I was originally going to do it by myself. But I eventually caved, in. So here I am standing outside the Midoriya household. This is so cliche it's fuckin stupid. Though it could be worse. I could be studying with Bakugou like in middle school.

Yeah, this is much better than being threatened with death all the time.

I took a deep breath before knocking on the door. The door swings open as Midoriya's mom comes and opens the door. Not to be rude, she's short. Shorter than Midoriya.

"You must be this Gisheikyo, Midoriya's been talking about! Nice to meet you, I'm Inko Midoriya. She says, walking me in.

"Midoriya! Your boyfriend is here!" Mrs. Midoriya calls out to her teasingly.

"Ma'am, I'm not-"

Midoriya comes speeding around thanking her mom for opening the door and taking me to her room (not like that). Mrs. Midoriya says not to try and do anything in here. Midoriya sighs and apologizes for how her mom acted.

"S'okay. Im kinda used to people saying that stuff about us at this point."

"Y-Yeah. That's one way of putting it." She admits. I chuckle and we both bring out the notebooks. I'm helping Midoriya study for science and Midoriya is helping me with math and English. It's a rather enjoyable session all in all.

"Yeah, English is complicated. Still, I dont know how to spell sometimes." I say rubbing the back of my head.

"You forget how to spell in our native language too. . ." She says elbowing me.

"Shush you."

"Pffft," MIdroiy says, before laughing. I couldn't help but chuckle too before abruptly yawning.

"You have a cute laugh, y'know that?" I said without thinking, mentally facepalming after her. She smiles with a blush on her face. She thanks me before telling me I had a nice smile. I thanked her in turn afterward. Mrs. Midoriya comes in later on with a couple of snacks and some drinks too. Midoriya and I thank her and eat in relative silence. I clear my throat.

"Y'know MIdoriya, I gotta admit, I'm grateful to have someone like you."

"H-Huh?"

"Admittedly, when we originally met . . . I kinda just didn't really like being around you. No offense. But, it was nice to have someone to talk to. Especially after Bakugou and I . . . split up in the second year."

Midoriya glances away.

"But. I'm happy we're real friends now. You push me to test my limits, and you pushed me to be better. Despite how I treated you . . . you still stuck by me. For that, I'd like to thank you." I said scratching the back of my head sheepishly. Midoriya has a blank expression for a bit, before smiling back.

"I'm thankful for you too! Y-You defended me b-back in m-middle school and s-stood u-up for me. And even here, you still try t-to. You . . . you're one of the reasons I wanted to be a hero . . . To protect others. S-So thank you too!" She says. We both looked into each other's eyes and our faces began to get closer until-

"Gisheikyo, your parents are here!" Mrs. Midoriya says, walking in abruptly.
